Why is salary such a big no-no to talk about? It's pretty relevant for anyone who thinks about doing anything professional.

because its none of your freaking business what they make; and asking someone how much they make is extremely rude.

We all know the general salaries for about every occupation, right? Hell, we even know what "real" sport professionals make (at least outside bonus, sponsors and such). This scene is more or less a big black hole regarding salaries. No need to be specific, just in general. So you're thinking about dropping everything without even knowing what is to be expected? Yeah, that's not how it works in real life. Get my point?

i have yet to see why you feel its your business to know the personal, financial information of people you have never even met before. its none of your business, and its rude to ask.

No, it's not rude to ask.

Maybe not in Brazil, but pretty much in general asking about your financial information/salary is considered rude.

apparently everyone on the cast disagrees, and since it is their private information, your opinion is meaningless.

Lip service/dishonorable to not try regardless.

By making people think that you tried is no better. :/

It is for your image. Lots of people are aware that they need to hide their bad side on broadcast, and it's just immature/naive to expect otherwise. He showed everyone, and wanted to show everyone that he was a bad loser on live broadcast. Don't do stupid childish shit when you're being watched. No one goes around farting in public.

Image? Don't give me that can of worms. How you paint and carry yourself is up to you and only you. That's what separates us as individuals.

Everyone has selfish tendencies and this is no different.

There are a lot of moments in sport where there's tension and heat.

A golfer cussing because he missed a shot and throwing his club into the water.

A hockey coach throwing a bench onto the ice because of a stupid call.

Etc. Hiding your bad side can be difficult at times even for professionals.

I don't want to go into this any further, but you think people actually get away with that shit? A golfer throwing a golf club into the water would get severe punishment. A player who shit talks a ref anywhere that can be recorded gets fined and suspended. Bad sportsmanship can be flagged in football. Shit like this happens in sports and it gets the same reaction that naniwa got. All is fair.

Did I say shit talk a ref? On the rare occasion, yes coaches/players are fined, but still many coaches get away with the swearing (I see it all the time). Pro Golfers do get away with cussing on the golf course (throwing a club doesn't necessarily get punished: "Displays of frustration are one thing, but outbursts of temper are quite another. Yelling, screaming, throwing clubs or otherwise making a fool of yourself are unacceptable and, in some cases, dangerous to yourself and others").

In other words, yes in many cases they do get away with it and it happens in every sport. The ramifications aren't always the same either. It varies from sport to sport base on the rules and type of game.

In any case, there is no written rule for what Johan did and the discussion pretty much ends there
.

No written rule does not mean he should do it. Not doing something that is inappropriate even though you are allowed to do is a quality of an adult, which sadly Naniwa is still quite lacking. He did something that would bring criticisms to him, he has to live with it.

No I'm pretty sure if there's no rule against it he can go and do it if he wants to, as that's the way rules work.

Yes I won't argue that he can do it. But should he do it? That's a completely different argument.

Agree.
Long story short instead of seeing a shitty ladder match we got to see a minute and a half of fail, and it saved me 5 to 7 minutes of my day. I honestly don't care because the match meant nothing. It's not like we rage at players for not showing up for their consolation matches at MLG. This was basically the same thing. If it were MLG the match probably wouldn't have even been broadcast.

They are in Finland also, but still seem to be rude to ask about it. Of course people aren't flipping or anything, but still.
