There is no reason or excuse for anyone to be rude or unprofessional at these tournaments.

I'll add FXOBoSs comment to this, which is again very very true. FXOpeneSports FXOpen e-Sports @ @idrajit lose stream and tournament. Lose player income. The circle keeps going unfortunately... Have to find a median. "The Circle keeps going.."

You're better off sitting and quietly having a cup of tea. Hitting a punching bag mostly just makes people more angry and wound up.

A floorman should be here to inform the players of the breaks duration. Casters that are invited in the game but don't join are terribly rude, too. If they don't join, theres a good reason. They don't not join to be a douchebag, get real. This is about anxious/tense/stressed out players raging at casters in the lobby.

i think casters and players are equally important and both need to be treated well and there has to be some more ways to accomodate both sides like maybe something likeadjusting commercials and shifting the schedule just a bit there and there to get them into the game faster

Sometimes for instance in MLG Day9 is showing a replay while being invited. It's good for the viewers, it's terrible for the players.

What is so wrong with admitting that sometimes tournaments are too unorganized and treat players poorly as a result? Players waiting around for 15 minutes is a fault of the tournament admins. Plain and simple. They are the ones organizing everything and it is *THEIR* fault. I know that it is a tough thing to do, but some tournaments do it better than others. Everyone talks about how well the IPL treated the players. Why aren't others doing it then? As I said, JP is just trying to defend MLG when clearly MLG is one of the major sources of stress between casters and players. MLG is notorious for being terrible for letting players know when they actually play, and that makes them angry and the only people they see are casters so they take it out on the casters. MLG needs to have much stricter play times and spread them out more so players have time to eat, go to the washroom, and be able to get back to the booth and not have to wait more than 5 minutes before playing.

Anywho, as long as the casters remain neutral and courteous, they should definitely not be the target of anyone's frustration.

Idra/Huk are complaining about casters who don't accept invites ( with good reason or not), casters who might sometimes be rude or ignorant. That is different from what Artosis complained about Artosis main point seems to be that he encountered players who take out frustration on casters without the caster doing anything wrong. An example being when caster A said : hold on we will start the game in 2 minutes because we are having commercial, the player immediately started the game out of spite saying " Why should we wait for you when we are ready? We are the important ones" That's not the caster doing anything wrong. That's just the player being a jerk.

It was turning into a A points finger at B who points finger at C who points finger at A situation. Should tournaments do more, sure but still the players should be expected to at least deal with a little bit of delays cause they are only natural at this stage.

@Idra you are a player in someone else's tournament, playing to win money provided by someone else. Respect their rules and respect their employees or go play somewhere else. Tournaments and Sponsors are going to make it that simple. You can bitch and whine all day long about it, but you are not in charge. Unbelievable that anyone would be so selfish and egotistical. I hope that players like Idra and Naniwa test a major tournament on being rude and get banned and lose any chance at a prize. It might be entertaining to see these players bad-mouth and verbally attack people occasionally, but if Starcraft 2 is going to grow then it needs to end. They need to made an example of.
