I came when I saw Artosis joining in as a co-host, his hand on the pulse on all things Korean is going to be a very welcome view. I'm pleased to see Inc gone, could never understand what his appeal was. Humor differences I suppose.
First show on the return, was pretty lackluster. So much dead time, so many awkward pauses, the content was in essence just a drag to listen to. Oh and the constant interruption of the guest whom is quite a character when he gets to get going with what he is trying to say, that was majorly disappointing.
I still love SotG tho, and I am thrilled that it is back in action. Hope next week delivers a smoother ride.

I am sure they were unaware of it.
Source for this?
I guess it's obvious considering the date and location.
I wasn't aware that the meaning behind the song (if there was one) has finally been cracked. After all these years of people proposing numerous meanings with no real evidence (aka from Hendrix himself) I'm glad to know it has finally been solved.
And it actually seems your interpretation is different from the guy I was responding to. You seem to think it was Vietnam related, maybe anti war? The guy I quoted said 'the bombings of various countries which the US partakes in around the globe' which doesn't sound anything like he was referring to Vietnam.
Oh and also for future reference, a youtube video of the song we are already talking about is not a source to back up a statement about the song....
There were also some akward shows back in the original SOTG when JP had guests on that simply didnt have much to say, so there's always going to be these kinds of shows once in a while.
top players doesn't always make for a good guest on a talk show.
Hope to see Geoff or Gretorp back as a guests, always interesting to listen to. Would also love to see more TL people like HotBid and Kennigit on, I mean someone has to represent the purest form of ESPORTS.
Its awesome that in a time where we see koreans and foreigners attending eachothers events, sotg adds a pillar who is aware of the korean scene. Before, the pillars obviously knew a ton about the foreign scene, but not as much about korea. Now all bases are covered.

I didn't realize you were aware of the performance. I thought you were genuinely interested in where it was from. My bad.

I find it odd that you are so intent on disproving a fairly common interpretation of this song. Sure, I am not aware of any official message from Hendrix regarding the meaning of the various non-melodic inclusions to his rendition, and it is conceivable that he simply wanted to spice it up, as it were. However, his alterations are specifically non-melodic, and of a different kind than the alterations he would do to his other material live; ie., melodic solos and jams. In addition, you have to take into account Hendrix' political outset and the arena where this piece was played. But if it makes you happy, you can choose to interpret it another way.

Oh ok, just a miscommunication on both ends, I apologize if I responded like an ass.
Can anyone else download the file? all I get from iTunes is an error, and the website gives me: The requested URL /0360005769182/ItmeJP-Starcraft2StateOfTheGameEP42120.mp3 was not found on this server.
I have a request for a guest. Before Anaheim, when EG are boot camping, Demuslim should be flying over to participate. I think he'd be a great guest on SOTG. His brilliant humour is well known, he's got a great analytical mind when it comes to the game (as seen by anyone who got to see his casting at DH or HSC3). And its nice to have a terran on the show. Last one was Gretorp, ages ago I think.

Great addition to the cast with Artosis! Guy is always entertaining and it will be nice to have someone on the show who is current with GSL/GSTL all the time.

Very much agree with this idea
He said he would welcome the opportunity to be on the show if they asked, so I guess that's up to JP lol, but I'd enjoy it a lot too.

My point is, there are a ton of theories as to what it meant or if it meant anything special at all as you just agreed to. I am not trying to disprove anything, it would be completely impossible for me to do so as Hendrix never said what his intentions or meaning was.
However, I still have no idea what your personal opinion on the meaning is. You refer to the most common meaning, which I assume is related to the war in Vietnam. Your first post however said "The one where the guitar noises are supposed to represent the bombings of various countries which the US partakes in around the globe." So I either am failing at correlating what you said to Vietnam or you meant something else.
