Has anyone noticed drones nom nom noming minerals in UI portrait?. I laughed so hard when I first saw it. In-game model of rollin banelings are also a cute bunch.
Aren't they so cute!
Though I find zerg untis in SC2 rather quiet and they aren't scawey and creepy anymore.
No more eyeball from SC1, no more harsh metallic voice of overmind. no more chirping zerg uints! no more gritty atmosphere!
I know there is technical limit for 3d games to express things and there has to be difference between style of 2d sprites and 3d rendring but why not make sound more exciting for zerg in SC2? What do I mean by exciting? I don't know.
MAN, I already feel nostagic for old zerg.
P.S: I noticed that sound sample similiar to spire structure from sc1 is in one of SC2 zerg BGM.

I find mutalisks cute in the lack of harass they can do compared to mutalisks in starcraft 1. Ultralisks in sc2 are much scarier than ultralisks in sc1 though...

Blizzard needs to make money selling plushies.

portrait-wise i wouldn't want to look at a zergling the wrong way. even though in game they just look like crickets

i agree, zerg (and every other race) is very pg13.
also, in regards to unit portraits, the slave scv's are no longer black Rofl.

I want to talk about protoss of SC2.
I don't find them exotic anymore because they have become too talkative! they just talk like humies and tehy feel like draenei from WoW.
I may sound like complaining but I m just telling how I felt about sc2 while comparing it to sc1.
I like sc2.

lings = meh... speed lings on creep move crazy fast, i suppose their legs moving that fast is cute
roaches = fat, fat things are naturally cute
hydras = FAT compared ot sc1, thus, cuter
ultralisks running = cutest.

I agree, I would definitely buy a probe plushy, they are adorable. I think the main reason that I play Protoss is because I want to protect all of the little probes from harm, I know they're robots but it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I hate cute, so I enjoy cutting zerglings in halves with my upgraded psi blades.

They look cute except for in the protraits. I mean overseer looks soooo creepy. But their ingame models look like they could be made into plushies

To be honest they've always been cute. Zerglings hopping around like little bunnies in the original and be honest, who doesn't want a flying crab?

They look a little cute perhaps... until your Ultra cuts those marines into gory pieces.
Also I really REALLY love the Zerg sound effects, they're downright nasty with all the plopping and splatting noises.
