they changed our hotkeys!!!! Select Larva is bound to L !!!! And no, i'm not using the left handed option /wrists c'mon blizzard.. we already got this crap portuguese version, and now this =/ I should've bought the US version somehow | ||

For the same reason that many people would prefer not to watch anime in anything other than Japanese, he wants to play Starcraft in its native language. Dubbing is seldom done at the time of the media's initial production and seldom done with much direct coaching from the original creative staff, and even more seldom done with any finesse. In short, 95% of dubs are unbearable. Final Fantasy X. "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! *gasp* HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!" ...It still brings me to shudders, that single awkward 30-second clip of a nasally-voiced white guy laughing at approximately one laugh-per-second during what was supposed to be one of the most tender moments in the game. It was utterly ridiculous and I'm really sad that I didn't have the chance to play that game with subtitles rather than dubbed voices. I will say this, however: Blizzard may not be doing this because they want to. In some countries or regions it's possible that complex agreements between retailers and trade unions (for example, the screen actors' guild is such a union) prevent Blizzard from selling the product in that region using anything except the voice actors native to or hired in that region. It's very likely that this is all related to legal, contractual bullshit which does not have anything to do with you, the customer, but Jimmy Jerkoff the voice actor won't have things any other way. Try and imagine the things I'm describing on a global scale with numerous different countries and voice actors. Kel'thuzad's voice lines were re-recorded for Wrath of the Lich King in WoW; the originals used in Naxxramas during pre-Wrath were vastly, vastly superior, and I am led to believe this was done because the original voice actor was violating some manner of trade union agreement by secretly working with Blizzard at a time when he was contractually forbidden from doing so, and this became known. "Minions, soldiers, servants of the cold dark! Obey the call of Kel'thuzad!" Good luck getting the enUS client, I wouldn't want to play a game as grand as SC2 with all the damn nice dialogue replaced with Spanish dubs from some cast of no-namers, and all the art assets rewritten into another language, possibly by a 3rd party unaffiliated with Blizzard. Just another case of Blizzard telling you what you want, unfortunately. All of the above is speculation on my part. | ||

For those of you buying a SC2 license to play on Latin American servers, you will NOT be able to use an english client to play the game. The option seems to be buying an american or european license but then you will NOT be able to play on Latin American servers (=lag). Please tell me if I'm wrong because I'd love to be wrong this time. Believe me: translated SC2 voices and unit names are ridiculous. | ||

I've given up trying to connect the NA client on LA servers, already replaced Base.SC2Data files, but then it starts patching and gives an file not found error at 71%.  My hope lies on you!
