The top guy in my division (Plat) has 745, which would put him in second place on this list at the moment =/ Of course 600 Diamond is better than 600 Platinum. I don't even... Thanks a lot for putting this together, I feel so motivated now that I know how high my ranking really is (top 200) Now I just gotta grind and break the top 100. If you actually take a minute and think about it. If someone is sitting at 700 platinum ranking, then who do you really think he is playing? Obviously 6-700 ranked diamond players, which means his matchlist is gonna be the same as someone with that rating in diamond. That means that technically there is NO difference between the divisions becaue both players are playing the same exact opponets, with the same skill level. In the end, at that rating, the only thing that is different is the divison name (plat/diamond). I don't think that as a 700 plat you play against 700 diamond.. you rather play lower diamond like 2-300 .. But I think it's different between the US and Europe, in Europe I'm stuck in gold and I only play against diamond players (is it a bug or something ?) whereas in US I'm in diamond and playing only diamond (no gold!) As a 300 gold player i play 240-350 Diamond players. You get the idea, that system is retarded. You play them rarely if at all, and only when you're on a hot streak and/or they're on a losing streak. You do not play them routinely. i do. I have also played a #1 diamond guy around 360pts too.
But it can be even worse. The first guy in my gold league is like 450pts 19-5 and he plays ( and beat ) one #1 diamond guy with 500+ pts. He is also bashing 350+ diamond guys. l o l

Why am I switched with some guy?! I should be: 34 shmi 560 78 52 He should be: 616 gfjiantou 309 27 19 but it's the other way around... I wouldn't care much if I was lower on ladder, but I really do want to see my name with all the pros up there. :D

For some reason my number of points is right but my win-loss are quite wrong :\

Thank you, this is great. It's what Blizzard should have done from the beginning.

I look at it like this:
Copper : 1000 Silver: 2000 Gold: 3000 Plat: 4000 Dia: 5000
So assuming you're a 400 points plat player, your "skill rating" is 4400. If you're a 400 gold, your rating is 3400 and so on.
Probably not the right way to nor the right time to consider this a valid explanation (beta) but it's been pretty accurate in determining who might or might not pose a serious threat.

It's a little bit of a wonky system. LiquidDraco may be #2, but he has waaaaaaaaaay more ladder games played than anybody else. Sticks out like a sore thumb...
EDIT: RaydriC is another good example. His record isn't even especially impressive.

I'm beginning to think that, after a certain number of games played, ratio ought to be weighted more heavily...

I agree to that, maybe it would be possible to have a script that would kick in after X games(100 maybe) and then order by ratio only?

Im listed at 61-60 lol. and I am most definitely not 61-60. With only 65 points lol.

THIS is so cool! I can see I am ranked 1k+ LoL

I LOVE THIS. If blizzard doesnt give us what we want.. then we will take it into our own hands, Like allways!

So you impose another stupid arbitrary scale over the original arbitrary scale?

For everyone out there who is convinced it is only about points and not about League, maybe you are right.
So here's what we do. I am a Diamond player with 280 odd points. Someone from another league with similar points, or even higher, PM me. Let's play a few games. We will see what happens.
Call me crazy, but I suspect that the average Diamond player is in fact stronger than the average Platinum player. I could believe this because my only losses not to cheese have been to diamond players. It also could be that the entire league system is based on this premise.
Guys... It is not a big deal. Just play. If you are in the top 10% of players come release, I am sure you'll be in the top league. No sense in getting all uptight now about it and calling the system broken just because it doesn't work for you.

I do but he just cheesed me. Probably how he gets so many games.
The ratios will matter more once the game is out for longer. As you go higher and higher, you're punshed more for losing and rewarded less for winning. You're going to need a better ratio to continue once the ladder is out for longer.
