On every profile page there is this link in the source that's static across all profiles: <div class="spotlight-tile tile-protoss" onclick="Core.goTo('367/');"> (except for the protoss part) Every page that holds that info follows the same pattern as well: http://beta-us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/96087/1/ladder/ for example in this case, http://beta-us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/96087/1/ladder/367/ is the division so what you do is fopen http://beta-us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/<incremental loop value>/1/ladder/ and check for error code in the html of their error page for a profile, if a profile detected then regexp the core.goto('int') val and parse the ladder page for data. Then you just set the operation on a cron job/automated task and let it fly. I could write this up but atm im busy with work(i work as a php developer) and preparing for the Inferno Online cup =) Best of luck and gj! | ||

It wouldn't be pyramid style tournament, of course, but it would be random-round-robin style, requiring you to play at least X games (say 10?) but recommending more. Can only play one opponent once. The random results then form a web of Who is > whom and then people are sectioned off into rankings (there would be alot of ties, so maybe like ranks: 1;1;1;1;1;1;7;7;7;7;7;7;14;14;14;14;14;14;14) etc. Personally I think that would be AWESOME. People could game the system to try and be top in bronze but then you can't quick match queue in 1v1 anyways, since 1 ID per person. | ||

The only number that really matters is Blizzard's "secret" rating that shows how good you actually are. The numbers here show how good you are relative to the people you are matched up against, but we have no way of seeing who you are matched up against. ie, we have no idea what the real divisions are..... | ||

You play mid/low diamond most of the time at that ranking not high diamond...I was #1 gold back when plat was the highest division and I rarely played high platinum ppl mostly just middle of the pack or other gold ppl. | ||

because the code (at the moment) gets ALL players from each diamond league... ya it still has the #1 people on top (cuz they have more points, dur), but at least change the title of the thread to say "All Diamond Players" or something... | ||

So here's what we do. I am a Diamond player with 280 odd points. Someone from another league with similar points, or even higher, PM me. Let's play a few games. We will see what happens. Call me crazy, but I suspect that the average Diamond player is in fact stronger than the average Platinum player. I could believe this because my only losses not to cheese have been to diamond players. It also could be that the entire league system is based on this premise. Guys... It is not a big deal. Just play. If you are in the top 10% of players come release, I am sure you'll be in the top league. No sense in getting all uptight now about it and calling the system broken just because it doesn't work for you. | ||

Even if someone has a lot lower win percentage, they could still be just playing better players.
