My only solution is to create a new Battle.Net account and then risk my well earned and spent money on not seeing another AU/NZ player because they were defaultly mislead in to registering on the Asian realm? What is this? Lastly, if it weren't for chatrooms I would have never found the Aussie community for War3 which lead me to playing in my first WCG qualifier. I wasn't even aware the competitive gaming existed if it weren't for that chatrooms. | ||

If Blizzard is serious about the globalization of ESports and video game communities in general, then the following are greatly beneficial to fostering that growth, if not downright necessary: 1) Communication avenues between all regions. 2) Infrastructure for organizing games between all regions. This means chat channels, the ability to play cross-continental custom games, and a (DRM protected) LAN feature for tournaments. | ||

Specifically, we want to organize chat channels around users' interests so you know what types of conversations you are going to get into when you join a channel. This feature is not something that will be in for beta. Currently we plan to do this feature in a patch after the game launches. yet in this interview they said no chat channels thats lieing to your fans | ||

I guess they figure making more money on initial sales is better than sustained revenue? Or maybe they just screwed up? Beats me. The reality is the release date is way too close to today to implement, test, and fix (esp. with the Blzzard dev. team's track record on SC2) all the issues with battle.net. In sum, it would be nice if Blizzard put good people on projects like bnet 2. But apparently they don't. | ||
