I can't believe you're going out of your way to kick the developers of this game in the nuts just because one employee made a PR blunder. I just lost a whole lot of respect for you. It was a blunder. It was also honesty instead of gilded promises

hahahahahahahahahha look at him lie lie lie!
oh blizz what happened to the days of diablo 2 and sc brood war

Sc2 isn't BNet2.0 only, you can still have fun in singleplayer and UMS.

With the limitation in room hosting (no room names, restriction in no. of rooms that can be created, size restrictions), I just don't think the UMS games are gonna be as enjoyable as the ones in BW.

Boxing isnt jabs only, you can still do some hooks and uppercuts.

Not from Blizzard, not anymore.
No Chat channels No Cross region play No LAN, even after Battle.net validation No Real League system No Clan system Bnet 0.2 in general (no online replays, poor interface design, not being able to freind without emails, privacy concerns, poor custom map system...)
Who knows how to contact Destructoid or other major gaming sites?

The problem is that we have to wait a year for this. They postponed SC2 for years because of Bnet 2.0 and we don't even get clan/group chat at release? WHAT THE FUCK
|
Wow. I've always been supportive of Blizzard and thought that they had their reason for most of the stuff they do that I disagree with, but this... This is too fucking much. How can he even say "Do you really want chat rooms?" ? What the fuck kind of question is that, do we want chat rooms? It's a god damn multiplayer game of course we want chat rooms.
|
I remember when it became mandatory to merge your WOW account with your bnet account in order to keep playing. I had a bad feeling when they did that as did everyone else... "One ring, err UI, to rule then all!

Who cares whether we have or don't have chatrooms, region-locking the game is what people should be focusing on.
This is going to completely segregate eSports and for people (like myself) who travel between two regions and play with people in both of them, it means that I have to buy two copies if I want to play with all my friends. Likewise for competitive players in Asia/Europe/NA who want to play with other regions to see new strategies and play styles.
I mean sure, I guess when I'm in North America I can just go visit people and LAN with them... OH WAIT. I was worried about region-locking from the very moment I got the beta and couldn't play with 3/4 of the people I knew. I had hoped it was temporary but this is just ridiculous.
I likely will not buy SC2 now unless B.Net is changed or a legit community can host a hacked server. Way to go Blizzard, you suck.
|
Yea... this is really f-d up the more I think about it.
|
I don't think I'll bother to buy SC2. BW is much better atm, Iccup is awesome and I can hardly imagine any kind of pro-scene with WoL in its current state.
Seems that Bnet will suck ass.
|
This new battlenet 2.0 thing... Is it REALLY the reason why the beta has been delayed for half a year? Pathetic.
|
I like the way the community got mobilized :D
I don't think Blizzard can continue to ignore if we go on like this.
Also to the poster a few posts above... I think the main concern is the no-cross server play...
Really crippling for a game that is supposed to be the NEXT FRIGGIN' ESPORT.7
And also, the general attitude blizzard has about SCII, it's almost like they don't care if it sucks...

the problem is the console multiplayer experience, i mean they hired these guy from xbox live which supossively is the great expert in multiplayer experience, he came to blizzard to implement a system which i hate in every console multiplayer game which is the same that blizzard has right now. It goes like this, you come, you play and you leave the game and find random guys across the internet and repeat the process once again.
Are we fucking robots?, we also want to chat with friends, and have a talk, share experiences, i mean even people who dislikes chat channels should recognize, it keeps the community together and makes easier online tournament making and etc. of course there is the negative side like spams, and sometimes people insulting across the channels, but hey its a free world you do what you please just put some spam restrictions and voila problem solved.
And the region thing is also a major thing, i mean they should listen to themselve, so i have to buy 4 games in order to play with people all across the world? (america, europe, asia , oceania or w/e), thats just retarded and considering there is gonna be 3 more expansion which means, i will have to buy 12 games in total so that i can play with anyone ,anyplace without problems?.
Fuck u blizzard u lost one honest fan i will buy the game but not for b.net 2.0, just because <3 starcraft, you are not my favorite company anymore, i am fan of infinity ward now.

How easy is it to just give us like those 5 things?? It is like they don't even listen to us at all.
I want to play on the Asia server but I don't want to buy 2 copies of SC, that's BS. I want a global ladder. You could even still have the stupid leagues, just tell me my global rank. Finally let me join a clan and talk to random people in chatrooms, why do I have to know somebody to talk to them?? That's all blizzard needs to do and it will make so many of their fans happy. How f*cking hard is that????
It's like they just don't listen at all though... even though they say "Every voice matters." What a bunch of BS.
If Blizzard can't give us what we want then I am just going to have to wait for the iccup ladder for sc2 to come out and not use Bnet at all.
|
By the way we just hit 2000 people who would be willing to protest BNET 0.2 on game ranking sites.
