It wasn't. PGTour and ICCup was. B.net sucked badly too. The ladder was a joke. It was hack infested, and blizz didn't do anything about it. The latency was rediculous. etc. Blizzard wasn't good at this before. They never were good at giving the competitive community what we needed. We had to build it ourselves before too. Just sad to see that they tried to make changes without understanding the actual issues and without learning anything from the past.

Its still childish, trying to embarass Bluzzard this way makes me think of a little boy crying in a public place to force his mummy to do what he wants. It is a strategy the community is using to try to prevent Blizzard from making this game worse than it could be. They should know better than to challenge a community of RTSers to a game of WITS. lol. But seriously, I think it is legit tactic to try and wake up the drunk-ass blizzard sleeping at the wheel.

So people should rate the game based on what, the single player campaign? No. If Bnet sucks, that directly influences whether or not SC2 is worth a damn.

The whole "threatening" or "blackmailing" in order to get something is done by people of all ages. The only reason crying is considered childish is because thats the version that children usually engage in. The concept behind crying is actually not childish at all.

It only became infested with hacks when Blizzard abandoned WC3 a few years ago. I assume when most people mention Bnet1 they mean WC3's and not SC's. WC3 Bnet1 features: Chatrooms Automated match making Extensive stats (external website) Tournaments Clans Basically everything you'd need. If SC2 was built on WC3's bnet with more features I'm positive no one would complain.
