I also think a lot of you are underestimating the power of frenzy. 25 energy isn't that much and having 2 infestors with 100 energy can frenzy 8 units. 8 units dealing 25% more dmg for 30 seconds could certainly turn the tide of a game. Recall that in SC1, the ultralisk only does 20 damage (+15% each attack upgrade)/ 15 cd. The zergling does 5 damage (+20% each attack upgrade) / 6 cd. The DPS of one zergling is approximately 62.5% of the DPS of one Ultralisk. The 3/5 ultralisk takes 134 shoots by 3/3 marine, while 3/3 zergling takes 7 shoots to die. The A/D ratio of zergling is 62.5% * 134/7 = 12 times the A/D ratio of ultralisk. It is so huge. That is what makes it the best combination for zerg. Ultralisks take the damage, zerglings make the damage. Now see what we got: ultralisks are slower - they are behind zerglings and will be unable to take the damage; ultralisk hp nerf - they are unwilling to take the damagel; ultralisk slash damage + damage buff - they are more willing to make the damage. Are they still ultralisks? | ||
