So in this example you want to know your "Hotkey APM": Enter the "hotkey" filter word into the Filter actions field (on the right of the action list), and press enter: you're done. The APM charts will now show you the hotkey usage APM. Over the charts you will see the calculated average value for the whole game. If you want to see only the "Hotkey assign APM"? Not a problem, just change the filter text to "hotkey assign". Very excellent. This program is unrivaled. On November 05 2010 06:07 CharlieMurphy wrote: Java based program is so shitty. A nice feature to add would be to show if you won or lost under the replay search grid. You can make it a settings/install requriement to specify your user name. I think the only way right now to see who won the game is to look at the game info tab.

Java is pretty fast for years now. Perhaps you should install a newer version than 1.4 on ur pc -.- Also .Net is based on the same system as Java and nobody complains about its speed. I bet u use a lot of .net programs without even realising...

And do you think that if you tried/used a build order first, noone else should use it in the future?

Second : i would like to give my opinion on the issue of ressources collection information. btw : i don't know any technical info about the replay format itself so i might be wrong at some points. As I understand it, data concerning economy state is not saved in the replay. Which seems obvious since the game has to replay the game though the engine anyway. So the question is how to simulate the game engine to mimic the same economical behaviour. Although it appears to be an enourmous task to mimin all the engine functionnalities i wonder if doing only the economical aspects is that complicated ? Obviously doing a perfect job would require to reverse engineer the real engine but i think a good enough approach could use unperfect information : - we know where are the base(s) - we know where are the min/gas patches - we know when a worker is ordered to go to these previous location or somewhere different - using average data on resource collection rate over long period of time we can make a fairly good asumption on how much resource we are collecting at any given time based on the number of workers actually using the patches. - we know how many mineral a patch have (same for gas) For a standard game i think we can approach a fairly good result with all that without having a really hard engine to code. I know that unless we can calculate the actual time a worker take to go from A to B we cannot handle things like : - distance mining - a freakin factory in your minerals (thanks Jinro@MLG ![]() - stealing minerals from you opponent / messing around with gather on minerals to escape opponent surround - and any other things that would make the pre-calculated "X workers == Y mins / seconds" wrong. Maybe it is possible to calculate that only using the replay or the map i do not know... But i guess we could have a pretty good result especially in the first like 10 minutes when you have your main and possibly you first expo up (so most of the time just regular mining).

for 3v3s and 4v4s (and maybe 2v2s), there should be a Z+* vs *, P+* vs *, and T+* vs * so I can know which race I play the best in team games

My only suggestion would be a potential friends list via SC2gears that allows you to share replays with your friends easily, letting SC2gears assemble them into folders etc. That or potentially support for dragging replay files into the SC2gears window and having gears catalog them for you. That way large replay packs are easier to handle.

Can I set a different naming template for each subfolder? I would like 1v1 to be /D /T vs /p2 - /m./e which looks like [/i]2010-11-08 00-11-59 ZvZ vs Barney - Lost Temple.SC2Replay[/i]. and would like 2v2 to look like /D /T /g - /m./e which looks like 2010-11-08 00-11-59 ZZvTZ Fred, Bob vs Barney, BlueVein - Lost Temple.SC2Replay

Java has nothing to do with the application speed. Your computer does. Mine load under 1 second. Btw nice way to say thank to a guy that do it for free which allow guys like you to check his replays.

From reading the description, it sounds like a really good tool. The problem for me is that i'm more of a picture person, so reading the directions doesn't really do anything for me. Is there anyway you could provide like a picture step-by-step for those of us special needs kids like me, Dakota_Fanning? ![]()

Enable the "Use listed actions as chart input data" under the action list, and from there you can display any type of APM (this also applies to any other charts). So let's say you want to see different APM types. Choose the APM chart, and enable the "Use listed actions as chart input data" and then: -Select APM: enable only the Select action type over the action list -Unit train APM: enable only the Train action type -Hotkey/Group APM: enter the filter word: "hotkey" -Right click APM: enter the filter word: "right click" etc. etc. This solution is completely flexible: you can display anything you want. A wierd example: If you want to know your "supply increasing APM" as terran: -Enter the filter phrase: "build supply or calldown extra supplies". And done!

So let's say you want your replays named like "{date+file} {match-up} - {player1 (race1), player2 (race2)... vs playerx (racex), playery (racey)...} on {map}.SC2Replay". Example: 2010-11-09 08-30 TZvPP - Joe (T), Lisa (Z) vs John (P), Brad (P) on Lost Temple.SC2Replay It can be achieved with a template of: /D /T - </p (/r)> on /m./e The player block <> will insert all players in the replay, so if it's a 1v1, 2 players will be inserted, if it's a 3v3 for example, 6 players will be inserted grouped by teams. Now let's say you want your replays categorized as the game format: put 1v1 replays into a "1v1" folder, put 2v2 replays into a "2v2" folder, free for all replays into a "FFA" forder etc. All you have to do is insert "/f\" into the beginning of the previous template: /f\/D /T - </p (/r)> on /m./e If you want your previous template to categorize replays into sub-folders based on the match-up: prepend the template with "/T\": /T\/D /T - </p (/r)> on /m./e If you want your replays categorized into sub-folders based on the map AND into sub-folders based on game type INSIDE the map folders, start with this: "/m\/f\" /m\/f\/D /T - </p (/r)> on /m./e Hope this explains it.
