Sc2Gear is epic in so many ways but i seem to be having a slight problem. when a do a multi-replay analysis my apm and e apm are just shown as the average and its a straight line. This isn't really a huge problem its just I'm currently working on playing faster so id like to see my development. What do i have to do to get a purdy graph?
Some people tell me Protoss is OP, Zerg can have over 200 supply, terrans can have kill their SCV and use mules. I hate probes.

Is there a way to open up every replay in mulit analysis mode? every season I put replays into their own folder depending on what season it is. Would be nice, so I don't have to select them all and then click "open in multi analysis"

Yes, you can do that. Create a new replay source, and add all the different folders you store your replays in. Or if they have a root folder (e.g. something like replays\season1, replays\season2, replays\season3...), you can add the root folder.
Save the replay source in the default folder that comes up when saving, and it will appear in the navigation tree on the left. Now you can simply right click on it and choose "Multi-rep analysis".

thanks you ^_^

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere in the thread, but is there a reason sc2gears can't track downtime of other production buildings besides hatcheries?
Thanks, btw .

Set it to "cubic" and the granularity to "days". I'm not sure if it only works with multiple day's worth of replays.

Hey, 2 suggestions for the Development Charts:

1. Would it possible to color code the Avg.'s with its corresponding measurement in the Development Charts so they match? Sometimes it's not very clear which is which

2. Would it be possible to add a smaller granularity (e.g. hours) as currently the finest increment is days which makes comparing games done in 1 practice session (usually played 1 after another over the period of hours) very difficult to compare.

Thanks! Keep up the great work!

Keep up the great work András!

I do not support this idea. More than half of the games players play are not worth watching or sharing with the public. Adding this feature would result in a lot of bad replays getting shared, and people would have a really hard time finding replays that are really good and worth downloading and watching.

And if someone really wants to share all his replays, that is not a problem, the replay sharing feature in Sc2gears supports sharing an infinite number of replays in one step: just select any number of replays (or all) in the replays table, right click, Share replays. On the replay sharing dialog there is a "Upload all remaining" button which will upload all selected replays.

Love the work on sc2gears! its helping me alot

But im noticing something strange, Recently ive been working to reduce my "redundant" apm (i know its fairly irrelavant but its something i wanted to do). But it appears when i warp in a large amount of units at the same time it appears to be reported as "redundant" apm unless i leave a small gap between each warp in. It also appears to be reporting morphing in alot of archons at the same time as "redundant" apm.

Im not sure if this is just me or im reading it wrong.

The warp in unit action is not counted ineffective no matter how fast you do it. The warp archon action is, I'll look into it.

Is there any easy way to correlate mouse prints with replays? Especially in sc2 gears data base? Right now I have to find the same time stamp, which is fine, but it would be great to have a better way.

Thanks!

Right now the best way is to find the one with the same (or closest) time stamp. I might add a feature to do this automatically.

You'll see a straight line if the replays you analyze does not define more points in the time axis. Either change the time granularity to a smaller value, or analyze more replays which spread in time if you want to see development in time.

Edit: If you refer to the chart being assembled from straight lines, then change the Approximation to "Cubic".

The replays do not contain enough information to track those as accurately as spawning larva.

1. Having the same color for the average line also causes some clutter. Also, this causes some confusion only on the Spawn larva development chart, and it's easy to tell which one is which: the average injection gap has a fraction part, like 17.2, the average spawning ratio is an integer, for example: 60.

2. Yes, it would be possible, but displaying it in hours would not show your development just the dispersion of sequential games. If you have less avg spawning ratio than in the game before, it doesn't mean you're not improving...

My main gripe is that I actually cannot see the avg. numbers or plot because they are scrunched together and a straight line.

I'm unable to highlight or otherwise find any workarounds to try and see what exactly my numbers are.

I believe being able to see how things change from game to game would be beneficial, especially if you are trying different builds and whatnot which allow you to have an additional metric to try and improve you how tweak things to your game.

I have a little question. So (sorry if this was ever answered I cant spend time reading 119 pages) Basically I wanted sc2 gears to take a few hundred replays I have saved and I can just put them into some batch replay analysis and it can tell me stats based on dates and such. I couldnt find any way to do this.

Also how do I get it to rename all of my replays and save them to the folder. (ie, player names, map name) because I thought i heard this program does that.

Start a new replay search (double click on the <new> item below the Replay search in the navigation tree => on the left).
On the Search source tab add the folders of your replays (or replay files).
Press the "List all replays..." or specify filters on the Filters tab.
On the Results tab you'll see all the replays. Select all, right click and choose "Rename replays".
To analyse all replays at once, press the "Multi-rep analysis" button at the top.

You can also save the replay source so you don't have to select your replay folders each time. Once you do it, it will appear in the navigation tree, and you can double click on it to list all replays, or right click on it if you want to do a multi-rep analysis right away.

When I hit update to get the latest version of sc2gears the download is hanging. The progress bar as "Downloading... (size unknown)" and won't progress any further.

I've restarted sc2gears and my computer and it still hangs. Any ideas?

It's not a bug. I switched to a new download server which doesn't send the file size, so Sc2gears Updater does not now the size, and can't display the download percent. There is no error, just wait a little time while the update file is downloaded. Be patient. Btw the new server is much faster than the old one, so if you have a good connection, download should take only a few seconds.

Set it to "cubic" and the granularity to "days". I'm not sure if it only works with multiple day's worth of replays.

Is there anyway in multi-replay-analyses to only analyse the ladder games (automatchmaking)? i play with a friend a lot and i random on 50% handicap therefore my stats are quite broken on sc2gears now^^
