I agree the immortal change was the main good change, but marauder/roaches still are going to reign supreme which is sort of disappointing.

The immortal change and concussive change though do make mech more viable and slightly easier to transition into i know you ghostmech a lot too floop, so you prob like this

dunno about Zerg getting buffs lmao, they are still pretty much the strongest, though mech T is even with them, I am guessing that is why they buffed the infestor, to counteract thors even more in zvt.

They are also supposed to have the most powerful units, How is that true when the Marauder can 1v1 Zealots, Stalkers and Sentries? I hate how the immortal is a necessity in every MU.

Also, still need to address a lot of issues.

Remember the Dustin Browder interview everyone. They created cool units, without thinking of how they fit into the general feel. While they obviously thought of it a little bit (Viking fits great with Terran) overall they really don't care that much about uniqueness so long as no 2 races have the same unit.

Forcefild needs a nerf... cuz the whole spamming forcefield.. and having enough enrgy to cast a forcefield right when it spawns is way no cool...

god still can't get over the marauder buff. So many terran units could use a buff like the Hellion or Siege tank, but they decide to take the most OP unit in the game and rebuff it. ROFL

then they throw a drastic immortal nerf, but don't buff anything that the protoss needs

This is such a terrible patch.

Buffing Marauders when they were already extremely strong in all MU's?? Why buff Marauders and nerf Immortals (pretty substantial nerf, even) when Immortals are the only good counter against them in the early-mid game? Also buffing neural parasite will nullify robotics play in the mid-game.

Also why remove LT and Metalopolis from the 2v2 pool? They were 10000x better than Twilight Fortress, which is perhaps the worst map ever designed.

I just want a nerf on the marauder and a buff on everything else. I hate how the marauder is the core unit for any T matchup.

edit: But the interface changes seem really neat, looking forward to being able to download the patch.

By the time mutas kill the number of marauders amassed while you were getting those mutas, you have a good chance of being dead already.


I was just making a general joke as obviously Marauders aren't AA, that's all. Everyone's being all intense so I was just trying to lighten the mood a little...

I'm getting this too. Whenever I click on the box, it turns all white and goes unresponsive. If you leave it running it will start eventually, but apparently the battle.net is down anyway, so it doesn't matter. That box thing is weird though, seeing as how SC2 hasn't actually updated yet, and I didn't get it before.

So Patch 9.... Wooo Map Editor! I heard that UMS can definitely improve the core gameplay and the general balance of the units.... Lol not. A UMS cannot help that Zerg in general is bland and boring as fuck. Buffing the Infestor doesn't make them interesting. Buffing infested terran's damage from 5 to 8 doesn't do anything since the CORE GAMEPLAY still needs work..

Does UMS affect that TvP currently is a joke? Does buffing marauders INCREASE unit diversity in TvP and actually making it worth to make something that isnt a marauder and then nerfing immortals build time? But again i heard that UMS helps TvP and increases the viabillity of other units....

Does UMS affect that NO ONE enjoys the hard counter system at all? Does anyone enjoy Marauders, Immortals, or Roaches and there effect on the game?

Blizzard a map editor is great and all, but please fix the core gameplay FIRST and then add all the extras. There is a reason its a beta....

blah, i don't agree with the immortal nerf , and i wish they add chat channels/private channels.

good thing i play random, I'd definitely be very annoyed as protoss player. I dunno where blizzard got their data to justify the changes. They should look at data from plat/gold division only.
