The Day 9 Daily #100 is available for download HERE, for those of you who haven't noticed. To Day[9]: your story really was amazing and quite touching. It gave me a lot to think on. Don't let anyone ever tell you you're not good enough to be the E-Sports ambassador, beacause you can be whatever you want. You're just that awesome. I sincerely hope your dream will be fulfilled, just like Marthin Luther King's was. Know, that you have the community's growing and continuing support (I realize I can't speak for the community, but from the comments I read... It's clear that people wish you the best here). I know I'm stating the obvious, but sometimes it's best if others tell you what you're already supposed to know. It can't do any harm, can it?

Day[9], that was AMAZING.
Not only was it an incredibly entertaining and touching story, it actually gave me some fresh high spirits, even far out of StarCraft. As one who had lost some passion for some things I loved, I really appreciate you to remind me what it feels like to be "in the zone".
Thank you very much!

I've watched this 3 times, and you just 'Get It'!

wow... day, tasteless and their mother is so damn awesome. I really like that part when tasteless drives to texas to cualify and day gets all happy and stuff ![](/mirror/smilies/puh2.gif)
I wish I had an awesome lifestory like that but yeah...I guess I'm the one to blame for my booring life. anyway.. thx day <3

Thank you Day! Your dailies have changed TL so much for the better and I know that with you behind it, sc2 will become the esport of the west!

Tell that to professional players from varied sports from all around the globe
Tell that to the modern day blacksmith who still crafts medieval weapons and armor
Tell that to the school teacher who could have a much better life doing some other kind of job.
People do stuff because they love doing it, and people like you are the scum they have to overcome to be happy in life.

@answer: Why do you waste so much time on anything else? Everyone has their preferences. It doesn't matter what you do. The only thing that matters: does it make you happy. That's all there is to it. Different people enjoy different things. It's our human nature and nurture. We react differently to different stimuli.
And for the record it's not just a game. It's an e-sport. And the best part of it is, that (as Day[9[ said) there are no subjective opinion, rules and referees. You either win or loose and you can't do or complain anything about it. So in some way, this game is more of a sport than the real thing. It's like chess, but with cool graphics and insane speed

I cried when you cried Day9 =(

This was some of the best stuff I've ever seen on the internet.

Just finished watching #100. And I don't care how many people have said this before me, it has to be posted that it was amazing.
Thank you for even more reassuring that Starcraft is the best game ever made, that watching the pro scene is time well spent and for hating myself for ever quitting back in god-knows-how-long-ago ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
Sean, Day[9], Cheers

It clearly is to him like many other TLers not only a game.

Super long time lurker who registered last February after I ran into some randoms from TL.net playing BGH 3v3 (I was using the name BearSemenRARRR and they called me out as reading TL).
Anyway this is my first post and I just want to say that I wish I had been as unabashed and unashamed of my passion for videogames as you have been from Day1 ( ).
I'm turning 25 years old next week and it's only in the past year or so that I realized I don't have to hide the fact that on most Friday nights I'd rather play starcraft than do anything else. I used to care so much about what people would think of me if I admitted to being a nerd so I hid it. I realize now I should have just shown my friends and family my enthusiasm so they could share that enthusiasm with me.
In any case, I think you're an inspiration and I've sent out the link of your livestream to some of my closest non-SC playing friends, because I think there's a lot of value in it even if you're not familiar with the SC game and scene.
The analogy of needing a mind of a chessplayer and the hands of a musician is very apt as well.
Thank you for everything you've done I hope you continue to be a major contributer to the SC scene.

I realy like watching you analyzing games but the #100 i think was just awsome for everyone who loves SC

aaw maan this is epic! i am new to the community (i just played bw vs ai before xD) and i therefore did not know you until i watched your #100... i am amazed by your story. i wish i had such a good reinforcing family! all i ever heared (which kept me away from competetive gaming for too long) was "the sun is shining, get out and stop playing your mindless computer games"
i really wish i could rewind the last 8 years and live exactly as you did! but who knows, maybe ill get my chance with sc2, now that my mind has reached a state of certain independency from contra productive persons^^
i hope that im not too old for a start in this, i am going for the 24 this year o_O

The passion for Starcraft was articulated beautifully here Sean, that was a humbling video and I think theres so much to take from it that can be applied in all aspects of life. Fantastic Job

Anyway, #100 was really, really good. It made me laugh and 10 minutes later it got all emotional. Probably the best vid I have seen on the internet in my life, and ive seen A LOT^^. Hope you keep doing these dailies for a loong loong time, I dont watch much tv at all, but I won't ever miss a day9daily. Best of luck with your dream, altho not sure if you need it because I can't think of any person that will fit that role better than you.

It was an awesome cast, very touching. It was neat hearing the story of how DAy[9] and Tasteless became what they are. Especially how Tasteless just walked up and was like, "Give me the mic."
