omfg 20 lings vs 10 zealots run away! And thats way better than right now. Two solutions: Better voices. Would require more voice acting, etc. Better awareness: Simple commands, like if the unit is not attack moving and there hasn't been a command given to it for X seconds, it has the ability to cry out. The next one is to see if the health is critical. The other one is unit awareness. | ||

either make them say something truly generic, like "your units are under attack / attacking!", or use different messages depending on how the battle is going (a lot more difficult). | ||

As for the topic ... yeah this stuff is a minor annoyance sometimes, especially with how dramatic some of the phrases are. I think the individual phrases are ok in some instances ... like a medivac having it's own unique phrases. I think all combat units should have a race specific general phrase. Seriously, there are so many easy ways to solve this problem it's almost sad. I'll be pissed if this simple problem isn't solved by retail simply because it adds a lot of personality to the game and takes little to no effort to implement. | ||
