My problem is that i just cannot figure out what to do. Lets say he has an expo with cannons, 2 or 3 reavers, and around 4 high templars. It just puzzles me on how i would break that. Even 5-3 ultralisks melt. I usually open up with 3 hatch spire to 5 hatch hydra. I scout he is going sair/reaver with my scourge. I do a pretty good job until around 30 minutes into the game when P has about 8 reavers O_O then my shit just melts away and either i slowly lose the game or i just get annoyed with trying to break an impossible defense and leave. Other times when i play ZvP i always find myself in a "whoever destroys the opponents base first wins" match and it's really annoying. Also i end up just having so many minerals its just rediculous. standard ZvP Sair/Reaver
You might want to ask this in the strategy section, since this thread is about the Day[9] daily.

I look forward to when or if you start to do some self analysis and just put everything you've been talking about together. Something to demonstrate how those subtle, and not so subtle, changes present themselves from one game to the next, where it's the same player on the same map, going for the same overall plan, but analyzing and making changes to play it really well.
A good video to me would be the approach of taking a map you aren't all that familiar with, and giving a map analysis of it in your eyes for a certain matchup to lay out an overall game plan that you would like to take. What you would want your mid game position to be, late game position, and how you plan to get there. Then of course, you follow that up with some games (3-4) of where you put your plan into place. game 1 would kind of be your "rough" game, showing how you strategy works to do what you want, pointing out what you like, as well as things that you see need changing for the map/strategy, and of course why you felt those changes to be necessary or a good idea. In game 2,3,4 you show games demonstrating those changes and how it affected the overall game, and just build up upon that.
I really like learning new things, especially with what you are talking about. It's refreshing to have someone talk about the overall planning of the game and of what you want to accomplish, rather than build orders, counters, micro tricks and other little things. It's so much easier to fine tune the specifics when you understand how it helps you reach your goal. I believe that the players who get really good the quickest, are the players who can think in this type of way.
but what I REALLY LOVE (besides oov) is seeing everything get brought together with a real example. It really shows the effects of what is being told and what applying it can accomplish if used correctly.
well ok, it doesn't necessarily have to be your games (you don't want to give away all your secrets), but what would be awesome to see is a truer demonstration of progression for an individual, rather than just comparing games between different players.
I hope I'm clear, I keep getting sidetracked.

A request, but it's a PL spoiler + Show Spoiler + Would it be possible to do Mind vs Violet on matchpoint, the ace match from KT vs Fox? It was a good game, and watching the game I felt as though Violet was really never behind at all, but much of the LR thread consisted of bitter comments about protoss imbalance after he managed to stasis the majority of one of mind's pushes.
Recently it has seemed like PvT is more imbalanced than PvZ as well, so some analysis might be fitting. This isn't actually the case, after a cursory look at recent leagues, but it's still an odd perception.

could he have gone queens after upmagic lost his mid-game army?

It would be cool to see a video on mech vs. zerg.

Do Violet vs Mind from KT vs Fox on Match Point please!

You are so cool for doing Anytime vs. Hyuk, haha. I watched that live and immediately thought Day9 when he went one base Dragoon Reaver

ZerO vs Hwasin was the sickest TvZ in a long time, with a huge huge epic comeback.
Analysis on that would be so enlightening :o

Day your livestream tv show is amazing, as are your audio podcasts. Massive thank you from a new 3 month old (used to play like 10 years ago though) D+ Australian zerg player; all of your material has helped me greatly and is very entertaining. I don't have a wealth of experience to draw from but I consider myself to be a macro zerg. Your advice regarding playing to and keeping the advantage is possibly the greatest help I've had.
Several posts ago you noted that you were interested in obtaining replays from lowly skilled people via PM. I'll look through my replay stash to see if there are any issues about my play/strategy that I find confusing and am unable to resolve by myself, however I believe most of my issues stem from my poor mechanics.
Thanks again mate!

I cant find the volume button on the new livestream... Is this just me? :s

Hey,
I just got to watch the tvz between light and rarity on heaqrtbreak ridge. In he questions afterwards you said you would come back to devourers. I was wandering if you just forgot to talk about them at the end or if you ment you where going to wait for a tvp to talk about them.
Thanks

Just, don't do d+ to c+ protoss analysis, protoss don't need help

I request more Zerg vs Zerg!
