Thanks for post. Starcraft 2looks like its faster to get going.. Like you dont have to wait 2 min before the game starts... like you can start building earlier or something.

I liked this one, seems like siege tanks are still very good TvP, but the range and rally point graphs are a little annoying when u have like 5 tanks or 10 rax...

They were forced to reduce the amount per trip because you got money too fast with 8 per trip with better worker pathing as someone mentioned.

These "FPVODs" get me so much more excited for SC2 than anything else. So fun to watch these guys playing, even if I'm not exactly sure what's going on at any particular time.

I am surprised that the tank range is an ingame feature. I saw a screeny a while back with it and assumed it was a map editor feature to help design levels with balance more easierly.

It looks to me like I'd it is going to be a feature of the game it could use some work. Maybe if it was transparent and showed just the most outer section of the circles if they are overlapping.

the colossus seems really powerful, around the 5:30 mark 2 of them took out like 8 units, including 2 siege tanks.

The end results of these changes to mining is that with the new pathing and decreased minerals per trip is that a fully saturated mineral line should require 3 less workers and take in approx the same number of minerals as it did in SC1.

Edit: the 3 less workers is made up for with the second gas. So a base should have the same amount of workers present as SC1.

That's weird. When I played SC2 I didn't even notice the tank circles o.O. Most annoying thing was pressing O frantically and finding that siege mode is now E lol XD.

Not so sure I like all the lines and circles and stuff. It kind of covers up gameplay a little. I guess I don't mind as long as the range circles only apply to tanks? And not other seige units like lurkers and brood lords.

i remember seeing this before, somewhere. can't recall though, it was like right after blizzcon (1-2days) and it was on terrans view but i think different camera.

They would've had to have put some sort of recording software on the computers and I don't think blizzard cared enough to do that seeing that they were too preoccupied serving their 11 million WoW nerds who collectively entering cardiac arrest regarding Cataclysm.

You start with 6 works in the beginning, so things should start faster. You only do get 5 minerals per trip but for whatever reason blizzard says the mining rate is the same.

BoT, thanks for finally posting this. How much other footage do you have still? And yea I don't remember seeing the tank range thing when I played, seems like it helps noobs a lot more with judging distance (as if TvT wasn't hard enough already). Wonder if there are options to turn those and rally point lines off? Although it seems like you would want to leave it on.

So how exactly does warp in work? After a unit is produced where does it go? and how do you call in down? like how can you make unit A warp instead of unit B?

You don't build them, you build a warp in structure that then creates units instantly on the spot you want but with a cooldown so you don't get infinite production.

Maybe they are just experimenting with the races? I would wait till either Beta or the actual game before saying most pro gamers are switching to protoss tbh.

nono im confident ive seen a different video of the exact same game which a friend msn'd me. the website was korean or chinese or something and it was like a day after blizzcon ended. the website wasnt centered solely on sc2 or pc gaming in general and i had to sign in using my friends account just to see, which would explain the lack of exposure of a high profile video.

Um, pretty sure it was in a vid not text. I have almost every interview saved in my pc at home. I'll try to find it tonight. By memory it was mentioned very early into the dual gas info.

I love the footage but I am tired of this type of presentation we have to make for ourselves, in order for us as loyal fans, to not go crazy over this game. Really, where are the new Battle Reports Blizzard has forgotten about AND I believe, have promised? I don't understand why these would be hard to release.
