Looks like it's a little different this time around - many people are posting in the now 5 or 6 threads sprinkled around battle.net about the same problem in the past day or 2. I guess this is what I get for waiting so long to do the pre-order. A month more of waiting isn't too terrible, I suppose, but it's a little frustrating. Note to self - no more pre-orders for beta access - not worth the hassle.

Someone close this thread, this guy just saw "Hots beta" on his battle.net account and jumped the gun. ANYONE can download it. That doesn't mean you have access to the beta. You still need a beta key to actually log on and play. I'm sure a lot of people are really disappointed in the OP for getting a shitton of hopes up. Try to actually verify your claims before posting stuff lol

This is not true, I could download the HotS beta, but a friend of mine didn't have it in his list of games.

I got it the second I ordered it aswell (mid january), although they didn't send me a mail or anything. I was just able to log in like the op.

I checked my acc it was listed under starccraft 2. Does that mean I'm in, I won't necessarly play it thought.

Yay. Less theory-crafting and more actual beta players!
I personally think all changes so far is for the good and just need polishing! By Beta-End on March 1 the multiplayer game should be release worthy.

I have the same problem, I see the beta listed in my games list on the Battle.net site, but when I try to login it says I don't have an account on this region, and asks if I have the right client installed... help?

I have the same problem. Fortunately this is a known issue, and Blizzard is working on a fix.

When you log in find the sc2-I and sc2-II button and switch to the other that you normally aren't on. I play on a few different servers and on wings I need sc2-I and in beta I need sc2-II
