Muta play isn't obsolete..... DRG and violet both used it in IPL5.. and the increase in speed doesn't increase health or drop speed, so having a careful spore ring can still kill the medivac before it can unload fully

The reason (I assume) he said muta is dead is because about four widow mines (haven't checked numbers) can kill a muta ball. Muta in ZvP and ZvZ is still alive and well, ZvT is definitely a different story.

I don't like the DT and the oracle changes.

DT's are to low risk now, I have played in 4 late game ZvPs now where they go double Warp Prism DT play and for the amount the Zerg loses relative to how much the protoss spends seems a bit much.

Also those oracles.... Why build pheonixes anymore?

I'd rather have them remove/rework seeker missile because it is basically a complicated yamato now.

I don't what people are mad about... For every raven you have you basically get a free massive unit kill.

Also the fact the Raven gives detection and gives 2 other awesome abilities.

Played a few games so far, I think with all the new changes PvT is going to go back to a myriad of Protoss all-ins. The DT shrine costs the same gas as 1 sentry with all the new stargate changes like no charge void rays and oracles...they seem OK but then when you combine it with mothership core detection...it seems really bad.

It's good there's lots of options for Protoss but there's also now a bajillion new all-ins that can kill you and are unscoutable.
edit: I can't imagine how bad PvP is now

I didn't mean to say your lategame ZvP sucks or anything btw I was more wondering if you were doing Inf/BL/spine kind of stuff, which would be exposed by this change as I see it, or were trying different lategame compositions.

I'd have preferred some kind of DT upgrade personally to this end, that would make investing in them a risk, but making good players able to use them more cost-efficiently. Maybe something as simple as a little speed booster a la the medivac has, although a lot more toned down in terms of the numbers.

Not exactly true. Protoss and Zerg mass AoE still murder bio from what I've seen in the unit tester. Just slightly less so late-game.

Heal buff seems like a huge over-reaction, but maybe it's exactly what terran needs to compete in 200/200 fights vs protoss armies late game, and I guess with the big increase in cost/build time it won't have that huge of an impact on the mid game. I like the direction of the patch overall.

Turrets are good, it's a move that allows you to use excess energy on your ravens if you have the apm to do it.

Better than Neural Parasite (Which only works when a Protoss screws up big time).
