ok. even if this is balanced. i still find as zerg and even protoss when you dont have a critical amount of units to defend a drop from terran you just die, since the units just get instantly healed. with this change it will be even more annoying.

From my first few games ( TvT's suprise ) my first guess TvT will def. be decided by Air. Without Seeker Missile with Aoe there's nothing that stops a few BC's + Vikings backed up by a some tanks other than having more Vikings .

Only if they do an absolutely massive drop. Deflecting a normal sized drop doesn't require many units unless it takes the P/Z by complete surprise.

You know the heal buff isn't that big of a deal for me. They could get rid of it, and I would be ok with it. There are two things that I really like. The medivac speed boost, which is just cool as shit and the Thor change. I think the Thor change needs a little bit of work, but I like where they are going with it. High risk, high reward with a seigeing style weapon.

The raven seeker missile is ok. It's cool in the sense that it too is high risk high reward. You see your unit get red, pull back and the seeker missile fizzes out, you don't and boom.

WM change is ok, I guess. Not that big of a difference for the mid to late game.

Armory is a good change.

Haven't played Protoss and Zerg yet... Random player

mech is gonna be so good since most aa is vikings and with combined upgrades starport factory will be so awesome and cool but maybe a bit op and upgrades are going to be so huge in mech vs mech in tvt

Pvp seems back to one base only with the new dt/cheap archon option. Haven't found a safe expo build against any variety of dt based aggression.

One interesting thing:

The Medivac Upgrade improves healing, but Medivacs still only heal a single target at a time. This means, as many have noted, that dealing with bio with upgraded medivacs means that AOE and/or really high burst damage becomes mandatory. Against steady single target dps like Stalkers and Zealots, it becomes nearly impossible to do enough damage to put down the bioball for as long as upgraded medivacs have energy.

But consider what this means...in WoL, a major problem with lategame TvP was that even if Terran won the engagement decisevely, Protoss would build mass warpgates and instantly reinforce with 40+ supply worth of gateway units.

but in HotS, gateway units alone cannot put down a bioball with upgraded medivac support. You need high burst damage or aoe--but storm takes time to gather energy for, archons need to be morphed, dts are fairly worthless in army matchups given that scan exists, and colossi and immortals take a while to build and can't be warped in. This means that if Terran decisively wins a lategame engagement and Toss just decides to remax on pure zealot/stalker, Terran can shrug it off and take the win.

Good point, I still think the healing buff combined with the speed burst will be OP vZ though. Dropping behind the min line will be really tough to deal with, especially with muta being obsolete now.

Does anyone feel like protoss has it much easier now dealing with widow mines than the other 2 races? Observers being able to go directly over a widow mine makes it so much less of a pain in the ass to deal with. I really think they should limit widow mines to ground only.
