Tempests are still a great unit, and they do a Ton of damage vs. broodlords - they just don't answer everything, and you have to come up with some other way to respond to ultras too. Gives zerg options and forces P to play smart. There's something significant to be said about Burst damage vs continuous damage when talking about engagements. Armory The Armory now only has one weapon and one armor upgrade for both air and ground upgrades for both Factory and Starport units. ^ Why isn't this in WoL to begin with? If they wanted to encourage play away from Bio-Heavy MMM, this was needed a long time ago. It just seems like with the removal of the Warhound, they're just buffing existing units extensively to compensate. While I do like the Medivac change, it's just encouraging more MMM. Something I thought they're trying to step away from. Similarly the Thor change would have been great for WoL to give Mech a viable counter to Armored Air, without going for some unupgraded Vikings. Re-edit - Misread some changes. | ||

Also, I can't help but notice all the 10 range buffs for various non-Zerg units. I wonder what that is meant to deal with hehehe. I am quite happy with these changes. They made Terran way better. The Raven actually seems useful now. Also, cheap DT Shrine is awesome. It should have been that cheap from the start. That change to the medivac upgrade is interesting. I imagine it will cause a lot more targeting of medivacs now. Maybe there is hope for HOTS. I was pretty skeptical for a while there. Edit: No I am not whining about Terran getting buffed if someone decides to take this out of context. It is meant to be a joke. Terran needed something badly. Double Edit: Maybe SC2 is meant to be good on odd years, because 2011 was great and it looks like if this keeps up 2013 will be too. | ||
