Also, LOL at the massive Terran nerfs, for no other reasons than Terran feel like the most hard done by race, Avilo's gonna be piiiissed.
Genuinly hope this turns out balanced, though I'm not too happy with the direction the Tempest has taken (though starting off with full range is good, even if the range has been reduced) it'd be cool if Tempest was good against Brood Lord's due to the 2 units characteristics, not just because it gets a numerical bonus against them.
Also, T_T why nerf Raven? 100 energy Seeker missile was cool yo!

After reading through a the patchnotes in detail and thinking a bit about it i think this is one of the best patches they made so far (including whole WoL patching progress).

it makes sense in every possible aspect. Warhound was a better version of the marauder, which already was a fckin strong unit against stuff like stalkers AND roaches or tanks. Warhound filled the same role but was faster, stronger and had more HP.

Another thing: I'd really like to see skytoss now. Carrier+Tempest sounds like a fckin viable composition because u cant simply make corruptors to counter it (thanks to tempest + massive dmg now). Combined with the really high DPS of carriers zerg have to work more with hydras/infestors/spores/vipers to counter it instead of just pressing the corruptor button like it was in WoL :-)

Thx for that great patch Blizzard, i already think it will drastically change lategame PvZ even though i think making Carriers AND Tempests is reaaally expensive ^^ both cost a ton

So apparently, you can now build both Hellions and Battle-Hellions from the Factory, the latter only if you have an Armory. Having an Armory will also then allow you to research Transformation Servos so that both Hellion and Battle-Hellion will be able to transform to the other type and back.

New hellion upgrade: Transformation Servos -- allows hellions to change to Battle mode

In TvZ, battle hellions with good split micro are performing a bit too well against zergling/baneling openers. Therefore, we are adding an upgrade requirement to change modes, giving zerg players more time to make the necessary adjustments to their unit composition.

Battle mode hellions can be built from the Factory

After testing this unit in the beta, we are starting to see scenarios where building only hellions, only battle hellions, or having a choice of both are all reasonable decisions. Therefore, we would like to try allowing players to build these units separately while keeping the ability to transform between modes a viable option.

Is it not better to rework Fungal Growth instead of adding a "dispel" to only one race. Now you are almost required to go into SG tech as Protoss lategame, and T/Z still get rooted by Fungal.

Add to that the fact that those other spells excluding Vortex don't have nearly the same impact, and I feel like the current change might not be the most well-rounded one long-term.

Changing Fungal would also make SG tech more viable, while also helping out Terrans and Zergs. As it is right now, fungal offers too much when it comes to control + damage. Change it to a slow or make it dodgeable, which also promotes micro and changes the dynamic of the spell. Trying to look at this from multiple angles.
Balance. Enjoy the process instead of focusing on musts.

By your logic Goliath is a bio unit. And hellion and every other factory unit besides Siege tank, thor, and mines.


Please let me know how the warhound is any different from a marauder without stim and with it's stats changed. Being made from a factory doesn't make it mech. The goliath functions in a fundamentally different way to bio units in it's movement, it's attack and most importantly it's place in how the game works.

The only reason I think this Phase Shift ability is stupid is that this is turning SC2 more into a Dota or WoW game more and more everyday. In WoW you get debuffed....dispel dispel dispel...debuffed again....dispel dispel hurry fucking dispel.

Second example of silly mechanics. the Viper's stupid Abduct ability also is WoW and Dota type spellcasting business, "GET OVER HERE." This doesn't seem fitting for SC2 rts, I mean reallly?

Blizzard do their thing - people complain.
Blizzard man up like hell and decide to include a bunch of gamer kids in their professional decisions - people complain.

Terran have enough features in this game as it is. Blizzard have temporarily pulled out the warhound to make the beta metagame progress to a more normal state. Blizz have already asked for suggestions, and are bringing back a type of warhound when they have it figured out.

Overall looks to be good, but can Terran get a good replacement for the Warhound please? It was a horrible design from the beginning, but at least it was something. . .can I get some new toys to play with, please?

Does anyone else feel that the nee ability for the oracle makes mass colosus deathball play multitudes strongerr? I don't mind the change on its own but wasn't the whole point of viper and new units to break up the death ball?
This problem illustrates the biggest problem with the game right now and pvx which is the over reliance of the over powered ill designed colosssus. As a community looking to make the game more spectator freindly and balanced we should push for the redesign of this unit to really make a change for the better in hots.

I would like to see either tank supply reduced to 2 or damage increased. I'm curious to see how that would benefit mech play.
