Do not beg for keys, offer to trade things for keys, or offer to buy keys in this thread. |

They want to have every skillregion represented which makes a lot of sense actually.
Actually this makes little to no sense to me, you have to balance the game by using the most skilled players, not the players with no rts experience prior to SC2, and then in the low leagues in SC2, how is that going to help balance the game? None what so ever. You balance for lowest levels later on not in the beta IMO....

Im so fucking hyped about the new Portraits that comes with HotS, is there a nice guy who could deliver some screenshots of them?

I'm jelly
I had way more fun in WoL beta than normal ladder, heavenly times of abusing imba units/builds and just playing with massive balls without giving the slightest fuck.

Actually, the point of the beta is mostly to balance the game. So it actually makes sense for stronger players to be chosen over weaker players.

Also, wtf. Vibe is playing, and some Protoss decides to void ray all in or something lol nothing like giving out those keys to people who wont test anything out. Not every HotS strategy needs to use the new units. Part of the beta testing needs to be seeing how the new units can fight against existing units and strategies, and also it's probably better if Blizzard's win rates take into account what can already be done in WoL.

I didn't get it....

Haha, but was funny when Drewbie said "I have no upgrades" and then builds 3 forges. Wonder if that's a legit HOTS strat :D

To all the people complaining they didn't get in, learn to read.
This multiplayer-only test will initially be limited to a select group of pro-gamers, members of the press, Arcade contest winners, and shoutcasters.
Says that in literally the second sentence.

Masters is like the top 2% of all players. Most of the audience is not masters you can't shut them out of such a beta. Naturally they will get WAY more spots since they are WAY more people. Also it's not only about balancing, also a lot of tech issues are being tested and ofcourse they want to hype the shit out of this. That won't work if only the top x% of players are entitled to play.

With that said, your level of Wings of Liberty activity may play a role in your chances of being selected as a beta tester.
shit i've been sorta inactive recently ;O
or are they saying this mainly to get people to keep playing haha

Exactly. One of the best things to do in the beta is to pull out some of the dominant WoL strategies with masses of colossi or broodlords or similar, and see how effective the new units are against them.
