Very much prefer medivacs.

I found that with large bio armies, often units would die to large opposing armies too fast for the medivacs to go over to them and start healing. This issue doesn't exist with medivacs, since they can hang out over the bio-ball, in range of all units simulatenously.

In the campaign, I much, much prefer medics simply because they heal faster with the upgrade.

it depends on mission but for almost all missions medics are waaay better

I usually end up building both... I guess that's just me, but I depending on the map, I would build one more than the other, if I am intended to keep on moving (more medivacs) or stay in a defensive position (medics). Both though help, as you probably won't lose anything when doing a full ball of this and that with healing.

Medics can heal eachother.

Medivacs got the mobility factor but that is usually not an important one in SP.
On the 6th day JF made Reavers and on the 7th day JF put his opponent to rest

I hate medivacs. Only used it for that stupid dr narud mission. They keep dying and they can't heal each other.

Medivacs are better vs psy storm against protoss.

It makes MMM possible vs protoss.

It will not be killed by tank or baneling.

Btw. Which is better since you are only comparing two units.
I'm doing math. Please don't disturb.

For a mixed unit composition Spectres are better, Ghosts with +1 are only powerful when you can get large amounts of them (20-30), and even then only on certain missions.

(Ghosts don't have EMP in the campaign)

You mean Medivacs have higher HPS when there are enough healable targets for all the medivacs to be healing. A lot of engagements don't involve enough targets taking damage for the multiple-heal to be relevant.
