Like most of you, I've been having issues with achievements not going thru. I have that nasty Meta bug, and recently I had the "Brutal Completionist" achievement of 29 wins, yet my Brutal counter was only at 18/25... and not going up.
So.. Pissed off, I quickly did a search on the interwebs, and searched thru Blizzard's forums. I found like 20 threads on it, mostly people being pissed and blizzard saying "Cant help you, we dont support achievements" that bullshit.. But out of those 20 threads, there was one guy who posted something along the lines of "Just reload your save mission and it counts it twice"..
I basically would have to redo the whole campaign from the start, in brutal, in order to get this achievement.. so I figured I would mess around with what this guy said, and see if anything good could come from it.
So I started a new campaign and beat the first level on brutal, saving it about 10 seconds before winning, and tried doing that afew times. Basically, as I suspected, nothing happened. It did reset my brutal counter back to 0 though, which is lame but least I know it was a "fresh" counter now.
In a desperate measure, I tried one last time. I loaded up a brutal mission from my main playthru that I saved halfway, it was Media blitz (not that it matters I dont think) and I beat the rest.. saving it 10 seconds before I won. After the game was over, I looked at the counter.. it said "1/25"... so I wasnt sure if that was from the previous mission, or this one I just did. Anyways, Making progress. Reloaded the ending again, and won. Looked at my counter again.. 2/25! I was freaking out that it actually worked.
Half hour later, after lots of load screens back to back.. My counter hit 25/25, giving me the achievement! I am still in shock that it worked. Now I just need that Lost Viking 500K and blizzard to fix the meta bugs and I have 100% (Im up to 3000 achv pts overall)
Im not promising it'll work for you, because im not sure how it works/what triggered it to work for me.. but mess around with it if you are having the bug which isnt counting your current wins.. You might just get lucky like me and abuse blizzard's system back at them.

do it yourself, just pick one brutal level and beat it, and save it at the very end.

So you just have to finish 1 level and repeatedly beat the last 10 seconds to get the entire achievement? Man that's something to be proud of!

well considering I already beat all 29 levels in brutal for the "Completionist" achievement, but my 5/10/15/20 one was bugged; I think it is something to be proud of, rather than trying to start a new game, do it all over again for the off chance it might get bugged again.

My counter was bugged as well. Heck, the number of my Brutal XX achievement was even reduced when I reinstalled the game to have an EU english client.
What I did because worked for my first playthrough on Hard - just finish the game with All-In. I made sure I had all other missions on Brutal (replaying missions in the archive worked, too; while being online, so I sure would get the credit for it) before doing All In on Brutal.
As soon as I reached the score screen of All In, I was spammed with achievements, including Brutal 25.
tl;dr: Make sure you have every mission on Brutal (archive!), then do All In on Brutal.

I loaded up an old Maw of the Void game and followed the instructions, counter progressed perfectly.

i finished a level on HARD difficulty and i went from 16/25 to 25/25. it's just messed up.

Have you had any luck fixing the meta achievement bug? In a couple cases I've gotten all the achievements from a section of missions but a bunch aren't counting when you click the meta
example from my profile: colonist missions meta (the rebellion and artifact ones aren't working either)
I'll try your technique though, wouldn't you know my hard xx achievements are bugged too =P

I wish man. I have about 100 pts tied up in the meta achievement bugs =/ Including one of the Combat ones that I have one more thing to complete, then its gonna give me the meta bug again.
Which really sucks, cause I am trying to get as much achievement points as possible.. im almost at 3500 right now, but that 100 extra would really help for putting me closer to 4000.

+1, worked perfectly. I actually also used Maw of the Void because it was fast to make a save (from an old one a couple of minutes from the end) with a dozen yamatos charging up against the artifact thingy 
I was actually considering replaying the whole thing on Brutal just to unlock this, so you basically saved a day of my life!

A similar method can be used to get all of the Armory upgrade achievements as well; just make a save file when you have a ton of credits (500K or so) and purchase the upgrades towards an achievement, play a mission to 'save' the upgrade towards your achievement, then reload your previous save to get all of your money back.

Does this mean that you can beat only one mission on brutal, then do this trick, and still get the brutal-achievements? (except completionist ofcourse)

its not bugged it counts only missions u did on brutal from missionchoiceinterface. if u make brutal from archive after u did it on lower dificulty it will not work!

They should just remove the Brutal 5/10/15/20 achievement. It's redundant since theres already the brutal completionist achivement. And now the brutal 5/10 etc, achievement means nothing because you can just use this bug to get it.
Thanks for posting this however, as it will help me get the achievment since I'm going for 100% single player achievments. My counter is stuck on 7 Brutal and I've got about 20 of the brutal missions actually finished....

I have 15/20/25 Hard but somehow not the first two (5/10) so we are around the same, weird bug!

Had 0/25 and I loaded my 12th mission - Haven's Fall. Luckily I saved on the last building beforehand. Finished it once, and checked achievements, I ended up with 12/25. Did it again and got 24, and got the achievements on the third try. Reloading definitely worked =D
@ Above maybe you did something similar to me, so it skipped 5/10 and got you the higher ones

Thanks OP, I knew my all in file put me at 23/25 so I just did that once and did maw twice and finally got it.
I think it glitched at first because I went back in the mission archives to do the first few missions on brutal instead of doing it all brutal along the way. I was pretty frustrated when I first beat all in, got my kerrigan but didn't get this achievement.

Just beat Breakout/Brutal (saved within 10 seconds), reloaded, then immediately picked up the rest of the achievements (15, 20, 25). One shot, one kill.

does anyone know if it is possible to get the brutal achievement if you beat the game on hard, and then use the mission archives to beat it on brutal? I've beaten the entire campaign on brutal doing this yet have gotten none of the 5 achievements for the 5-25. Has anyone beat it through the archive and gotten the achieves?

Yeah, you get the 25 Brutal achievement, but you actually have to actually beat each mission for the Kerrigan icon.

I can confirm that reloading an almost finished mission works indeed.
"All in" was my last mission on brutal and i saved it with the artefact on 99.8%
Completing it got me my 5/25, next load 10/25 etc etc

work just fine, i did it a few minutes ago.
start a new campaign in brutal/Hard,
do the 1st mission as you normaly would.
Do the second mission as you normaly would BUT, save just before killing the CC.
Kill the CC
Once in the bar, load the save file.
kill the CC (+1 in the achievement).
Once in the bar, load the saved file,...
continue until 25/25.
I wouldn't recommand it if you haven't really done 25 missions on hard / brutal, but it's all up to you to decide.

LOL! Sorry I'm too damn tired... Didn't read the whole text properly and missed the NEW CAMPAIGN thin lol Isn't there another way to do it? I'm almost done with all of my Liberty Campaign Achivements before trying Raid Night but guess I could do this first then.

With the Bar you mean the Cantina? I've already completed the Campaign on Normal (29 missions) and due to some Achivement hunting I need 4 I think maps on Hard to have completed 29 missions again on a tougher difficulty level.
They're marked in my Completionist page but I have only got 1-2 of those Hard 5/10/15+ achievements. Even think I've tried saving Liberation Day on Hard just right before the end and replayed it but didn't seem to work. Will have to try this approch to see if playing Liberation Day through the Archives followd immediately by the Outlaws will give me my rightful Achievements.

It doesn't work for "liberation day, it starts working from "outlaws" (mission 2).
If you did the missions in "Normal" or casual before, and then try the mission on hard, it won't work (from what i understood). You really need to start a need campaign i think
by bar i mean the cantina i guess, the place between the mission before the hyperion.
It took me around 5 minutes to do the 1st mission on brutal, then 10 minutes for the outlaw mission. it really took me more times to load the missions afterwards than to reach the point where i saved.
I finnished Raid night yesterday, took me 5 hours without rushing (on normal). This one will take you around 30 min max and if you do it on brutal from the start, you'll get the achievement for hard in the same time.
I just need to finnish 4 missions on hard then i'm done with 29 missions. Then, i have about 20 missions on brutal left to do (did 7 or 8 so far but got the achievement for doing 25 missions, kinda strange  )

I made the mistake of doing some of the early missions in Normal first so I was short 4 missions for the 25 brutal achievement.
Solved this by saving and loading my 1st brutal run in Belly of the Beast (that small stage wherein you run for the exit after killing the queen) 4x.
Note: The Achievement just wants you to finish 20/25 brutal missions in one run. It never said anything about those missions being unique. Replaying a mission in brutal still counts provided that your first playthrough for the mission was in brutal as well.

I was able to make a new campaign, reload Outlaws a few times, and finally got my 5 Hard games achievement. Now I have 5/15/20/25 and just need the 10. I tried loading Outlaws quite a few times (5 more didn't work, 10 in case it reset to 0/10) but it didn't work. Going to try the 3rd mission to see if that unlocks it.
E: It didn't.

THANK YOU for this thread. It's been annoying me for over a week now, seeing that 24/25 on the achievement screen at the same time it shows that I've completed 29 on Brutal and gotten the Kerrigan portrait. The programming for the achievements is seriously bad considering how prominent this game is and how much money was spent.
I'm so happy that you can take advantage of the bad programming like this, at least.
I did just what this thread says... new campaign, go to the second mission, save it 1 second before completing it. Finish the mission, load the save, finish the mission, load the save, finish the mission, load the save... only took about 15 minutes and I got the Brutal 25 achievement finally.

I actually got the Brutal 25 halfway through the campaign accidentally.
I was reloading the first Zeratul mission because I couldn't keep 3 stalkers alive at the end.

I posted on the Bug forum and a Blizz rep confirmed that they are aware of the issue, are working on it, but have no ETA yet. Just like they fixed Meta Achievements, the fix to this will probably just happen one day. I wouldn't bother trying to load/reload or playing the campaign several times until they fix it.
