MMM works, you just have to watch out for banelings when you go to save warfield.

Also, feel free to mass up your army. You don't have to move out right when you hit 100/200

Thanks ill keep that in mind, but as far as the beginning goes where you'r stressed for men, should i move out to save as much as possible? is it worth it?

Medic Marine, mercs.

I got 3-4 tanks, the merc tanks, a couple drop pods, and the merc battlecruiser and just a-moved my way towards Warfield. I actually took a detour to the north because I thought you could get in either way. FF banelings, but if you have enough firepower, that might not be necessary.

If you have the orbital drop upgrade this mission is pretty easy. You just drop a marine whenever you have to save something while massing banshee/viking/science vessel for the steamroll.

edit: if you don't care for the drop pod achievement, you can pretty much solo the nydus worms with a couple cloaked banshees [dusk wings help]

Don't worry too much about saving every single pod, I just sat in my based and massed units until it was out of money, only going out to save units if they were units I wanted. I think I missed 3 drop pods. After your main runs out of minerals, you should have a huuuge army, with which you can pretty much a-move towards warfield.

edit: definitely don't try to move out until after all 10 drop pods land, because whenever one lands it'll spawn a bunch of zerg that will eventually find their way to your main. Even afterwards I think a couple zerg hit your main but you should be fine if you just leave 2 siege tanks there, rebuild bunkers, and some upgraded hellions or perdition turrets for support.

I built 3 rax 1 fac, took the expansion to the right and just macroed and saved droppods until I was 200.

Can't you just summon a bunch of mercenaries rally spawning in Warfield's position and take out the nydus worms pretty quickly? I'm at the office now and haven't tried it but I don't see what is there to stop you.

I ignored almost all the drop pods and just built tanks, bunkers and flame turrets until I had to go save Warfield, which was easy with banshees.

Mass bio ball/medivac. AVOID using stims as you need to save precious medivac energy. I did the mission a few times and I found that using stim just wasted too much medivac energy.

I saved most of the drop pods, went maruder, marine, medic. Just leave a few tanks behind and don't send out too many troops, and you should be fine. It also becomes a lot easier once your realize if you get a few battlecruisers to Warfield's position, his scvs will repair them for you. Even if you barely make it to him, you can still wipe out the nydus worms pretty easily.

i just sent a medivac with some specters around(used the merc air units to protect it) then just chain nuked them. Was funny and somewhat effective.

I used the drop pod rally tech to drop Marines and Medics over at the Genrals bunkers, and when I had a smaller group, just pushed out and killed the nydus worms. If you don't have to drop pod tech, Marines and Medics with 3-3 works just fine either way, use the bunkers and tanks that you start with to defend attacks and just mass up your M&M force while moving around and picking up the drop pods, your army will grow steadily.
On the 6th day JF made Reavers and on the 7th day JF put his opponent to rest

Mass marine/medic with full upgrades. Use mules to save the drop pods if you want, since it's easy to just land one nearby for the 'save', even if they die immediately afterward.

A few tanks can be helpful, but you can plow through it with pure mnm. Leave some bunkers/tanks in your main, but you don't need much.

I got a few tanks and perdition turrets with regular turrets on the upper right hand corner of the base while I massed banshee/viking/sci vessel. I got the first 3 or so drop pods with bio ball and then got the rest with banshee/viking. After they all drop its pretty easy to get to warfield as you can just a move over there with your force.

Mass MnM works well for this mission, as they do for almost every other one. Macro up off 3-4 rax + add-ons and get +2/3 weps as soon as possible. Move out to Warfeild after you rescue the 3rd or 4th drop-pod.

Followed that and did it in just under 15mins.

Even if you rally Mercs elsewhere, their drop pods drop at the Merc Compound after which they try to make their way to the rally point normally. So that doesn't work.

Anyway, just massing units works fine. And if you happen to have rax drop pods, just drop a ghost/spectre to Warfield's bunker area and nuke the Nyduses

This mission is a piece of cake if you have the Hercules.

Just build some stuff so you don´t die, then save the factory and the starport(or build them yourself). Build 4 tanks 2 hercules and a few flying meatshields. Put 2 tanks in each transporter + some other units. Save. Move your "fleet" to warfields bunkers.

If 2 tanks get there save you basically won because you can snipe the 3 nydus without a problem.

Pretty lame way but quite fast.
