![]() Oh well. And perhaps it is the script that didn't do him justice. Hopefully the next iterations of the game will find him more and more improved.

Also, BW's opening blows SC2's out of the water, completely. It's nowhere near as pretty as SC2's intro, but the atmosphere and music is just unmatched. And this is what I'm missing in SC2.. the gritty hardcore reality of various factions just fighting eah other for supremacy in the sector. Not some gay "save teh universe from teh ebil voice!!!" theme with smatterings of "DESTINY!!" and uniting against the evil -___- Ironically, everything in SC/BW seems more realistic than SC2..

The script didn't help him at all either. This exactly. I really loved the old Zeratul, he was radiating wisdom, calculated responsibility and tormented experience. In SC2 he's more of a random ET with weird grammar and almost meaningless dialogue. I think the modern graphic era has made it a lot more difficult for voice acting too. In SC1 the talking portraits were more than sufficient. You had good detailed character portrait and dialogue and the viewers could build up the rest through their imagination. Nowadays everything is zoomable and 3D animated. Still, the animation and character details aren't on the level where they could fluently support good character development. At that point they only shut down your imagination and the characters end up being shallow.

I kept listening for the specific FX they used, some inverted predelay with reverb or something. Even distracted me from the content for most of the time. The sc1 voice sounded awesome in my mind, but I can't recall it. Will listen to it again soon (i'm at work now).

He spent centuries harnessing the powers of the void in the utter darkness of space, and you think his voice was too gravely? I wonder about Kerrigan though. Replacing an actor for an established role always seems wrong.
