I see this narrative being pushed all over the place, but its expected with all the vitrol running on social media.
Argentina was looking at the area where most of their fans were still singing. Nothing to do with spain or the ceremony.
France didn't stay for Argentina's ceremony when we got the WC in 2022. You don't see anyone making a deal out of that.

get off the high horses for a second
i've been to argentina like 8 times, i've never had a bad interaction with argentines in my life. definitely not like all argentines are like that at all. obviously in sports some football players can act like bullies but it's not all of them and it's not like only argentines do that. you're taking one event where they were clearly very emotionally involved and some of them didn't show their best version and then you are acting like argentine people is morally inferior or something.
with a quick google anyone can find instances where people from any country are acting like thugs or showing gamesmanship so just say whatever you want against the argentine team in this wc but don't extend it to the people.

It's just farming for clicks which is exacerbated by social media and AI. I have seen numerous edits of fouls, or press conferences with bad subtitles on purpose.
I watched Argentina vs England in Rio de Janeiro's airport because of a business trip. From what I saw on twitter of influencers going around other LATAM countries, I expected the atmosphere to be tense, but it was a chill watch. Some brazilians celebrated england's goal, some didn't. No one was agressive towards me or made me feel uneasy.
Lots of argentinians in Rio (I went out a few nights in Copacabana) and I saw zero incidents.
I also work with a lot of mexican people. From what you see online you think they would rather see Messi loose, but a lot of them were happy when he got the cup in 2022. People need to stop reposting others people ideas online.
Bottom line is Argentina got further than expected but crumbled when facing one tidy rival.
Lots of injuries and tired legs didn't help. Scaloni probably didn't want to make big changes mid-WC (like he had to do in 2022). Nico paz, Barco, Almada on the bench could have played more minutes, but Argentina was against the ropes all knockout stage to play around.
Spain played way better football all WC and are the deserved champions.
