Probably helps that this season there’s few real obvious player of the year candidates, especially amongst the ‘big’ teams as it’s rarely given to someone outside of that no matter how much they’re bossing it.
Bruno Fernandes has been pretty impressive lately too, who’d have thought playing a very creative 10 who likes to take risks, as a 10 might be a good idea?
Obviously not Ruben the Clown.
Almost certainly the worst manager in United's history.
frank sacked at spurs - my head of office at work is a spurs guy and we were talking about the possibility of this happening in the morning after the loss to newcastle so interesting to see it actually happen.
As far as I can tell, Dyche was doing decently. Not great by any means, but probably heading out from the relegation danger. 2,5 xG against Wolves too, just couldn't finish the chances. We'll see how the next manager does.
Dyche gets nominated for manager of the month and then gets sacked.
BBC ran an article recently that said if results were taken from when Dyche took over, Forest would be comfortably mid-table. He's not the reason they're in a relegation scrap.
I'm not surprised because of who the owner is, but wow.

Yeah. Not much to chase anyway even if the trajectory gets better. It's roughly 15 points to European competitions, I don't think they're competing for that unless the rest of the season is an absolute blinder.
Maybe they can get a less direct manager if they really want to build towards possession-oriented top-half football long term, but I don't think they've confirmed any clear candidate so far either. Also, not sure how many high profile managers feel like committing since it seems really unstable position in general and Forest probably can't promise any amazing salary or player investments either.
So, not many upgrades seem available unless Pep feels like he wants to really prove himself after the rumored City exit.
Edit: I guess they're still in Europa League. The new manager better make an amazing run there.
This is a really good podcast about Spurs. And Ange is putting a lot of emphasis of how Poch's success came because of Harry Kane because he is just an unbelievable player and I think this is something that the owners themselves don't realise. Spurs is not a big club nor should they expect top4 finishes. It just felt natural because Kane is such a beast

Kane and Son really made magic happen there for a time.

Eight full seasons they carried Spurs
They didn’t really, at least for big chunks of that. They were top, top players in a series of Spurs sides that had top quality players around them
When they were in that Poch era finishing second, third in the league and making a CL final you had cats like Eriksen in his pomp, Moussa Dembele, Delle Ali when he was looking one of the next big things, Vertonghen, Adirwirild [sic], Lloris, Walker, Trippier and others beside. They had a genuinely strong side across the board
Perhaps it was the right long-term call, but Spurs’ problems really started for me when they never rebuilt from a position of relative strength. Stadium financing a big factor of course, but I think at one point Poch wasn’t given a new first-team signing for something like 18 months!
Outside of a small handful of clubs who are there most years and occasionally drop out, it’s bloody difficult to break into the CL club, more so to be there regularly. Feels like Spurs kinda dropped the ball there and it’ll be tough to force their way back in.

Yes they did. All those players you mentioned they definitely helped to get a few more points but in the end it was those two players who kept getting Spurs to top7 year after year ESPECIALLY Kane (proven by the others leaving or losing their form and Spurs still "going strong").
Not enough credit is given to Ange for finishing top5 (unfortunately the worst European season by English clubs so no CL) in his first season... Ange finished top5 one season and won a major European trophy the other season. Both times WITHOUT Harry Kane.
It's always Vini because everyone knows it's easy to provoke him. This time I am totally on his side. First of all Mbappe also seemed to hear it and I think he also asked the correct question. "Ask Prestianni what he said to Vini?" If he didn't say a racist word then he should have no problem answering what he said...
Also it's Argentinian to a black Brazilian. So I am on Vini's side

Honestly I am having a hard time of ever beeing on Vini's side because I have the very strong impression he is an asshole and has the worst kind of character. Neither having anything to do with race.
