Damgaard looks like he his a bright future, only 20.

KDB, subbed in, assisted one, scored another one...

Goddamn KDB and Lukaku are scary

Feels bad, Denmark has played better overall this game.

It was a mega mistake and poor judgement to force them to play against finnland. For UEFA money > human lives.

Atleast there is some good talent on the way with Damgaard and Skov Olsen. Hope they both start against Russia if not of this tournament then for the experience before world cup.

Denmark was fantastic. I have a hard time recalling the last time a team of Belgium's quality was as dominated as they were in the first half.
Then De Bruyne confirms that he's the best offensive midfielder in the world. Agree that Damgaard was great and that he has a bright future - but damn, it's tilting watching people dive like that with VAR. Like the fuck is the point?
Really hope Denmark beats Russia (and that Belgium beats Finland) - Denmark getting knocked out during group stage would be a travesty. Goal difference means that IF Denmark beats Russia and Finland loses to Belgium, then Denmark ends up in second place, so even though they've lost the first two, they still have a very good shot.
But lol - Denmark vs Finland was 20-1 in shots, 0-1 in goals. Denmark vs Belgium 21-6 for Denmark, 1-2 in goals. Obviously finishing is a skill and so is goalkeeping, but there's also an element of luck in this, and Denmark is hoarding the short straws.

I think a Danish player said it correctly: there was no correct choice. Once eriksen fell down denmarks heads were not focused on the tournament anymore

True but 3-4 days later he was already ok and the focus could have been there. Play now or tomorrow 12pm when no one will have a good amount of sleep and can focus next day was not the best option.

Yes, but delaying by 2+ days also wasn't really an option because the schedule is super tight.
It does sound like the communication could have been executed in a more gentle manner, but the options given - forfeit, finish now or play early tomorrow were arguably the only three options that were viable. The entire tournament can't be put on hold, games are being played in lots of different cities, supporters have bought tickets for x duration, Finland can't be asked to play the game vs Denmark the day before or the same day they're supposed to play vs Russia. It's a shitty situation obviously - you don't want to punish Denmark for one of their players getting a heart attack, but it's not like it's any better to punish Finland instead or in addition.

Seeing how well the Danish team played today it seems obvious that all they needed were some time to deal with the trauma of Eriksens collapse, instead of being forced to return to the field shortly after what happened. The fake choice that UEFA gave them (which was already despicable for humane reasons) has been revealed as also unfair for competitive reasons.
I don't really feel bad about Finland's win because it was completely insignificant compared to the seriousness of what happened to Eriksen (and Finland's players certainly bear no blame, they were outstanding in their handling of the whole thing). But UEFA now stands revealed in their true nature as the money hungry corrupt pigs they are. Fuck them.

Yet this was not only an option but the protocol if a player was diagnosed with corona. So of course it's possible. The only obstacle is that it would cost UEFA money.

What? Where's that protocol? I'm reading 'https://www.cityam.com/covid-19-at-euro-2020-what-are-the-rules-if-players-test-positive-for-coronavirus-during-the-tournament/', and Can games be called off or postponed at Euro 2020? Teams must fulfil their Euro fixtures as long as they have a minimum of 13 players available.
If more than half of their 26-man squad are isolating, then there are two possible outcomes.
A game may be postponed and rescheduled within 48 hours if it allows a team to reach the 13-man threshold.
If a team is so widely affected by Covid-19 at Euro 2020 that there is no immediate prospect of playing then they will forfeit the match and their opponents will be awarded a 3-0 win.
If one player gets covid, then Any player who tests positive for Covid-19 must immediately isolate from the rest of the squad in order to contain the outbreak.
Team-mates or staff deemed to have had close contact with the infected players must do the same.
Scotland, Spain and Sweden have all seen players forced to isolate after testing positive in the week before Euro 2020.

Well you posted it, 48 hours. Denmark was given less than 18 hours.

.. you said if one player gets covid. For 48 hours to happen, more than 13 out of 26 players need to be out of commission.

Solid performance by NL, and Ukraine ahead of Austria if those two teams draw. 4 points in third place is almost certainly enough though, I think..
Dumfries looking great, also. He's been involved in all 5 Dutch goals so far.
