Then fill around them with shooters to space the floor. Also, not rush and try to fix it, they are young let them grow. But with any "trade this guy" thing I guess it always matters what you get back. ![]() User was warned for this post

They remind me of those Chicago Thibs teams that would beat Lebron's team every year but end up with mediocre records. You don't get extra wins for beating the good teams in the regular season.

![]() i wonder if the bench hardly played in the other games you brought up. amazing display of athleticism here.. the steal.. cuts thru 2 players.. breaks away all alone.. and .. ![]() https://streamable.com/spn6

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18280618/nba-players-union-verge-new-labor-deal-sources-say like any NBA exec thibodeau will rarely be completely honest about what his top priorities are regarding player acquisitions. so what he says you can take with a grain of salt. Minnesota needs are: 1. a ball distributor who is at least somewhat of a scoring threat Rubio just ain't that good. its time for Minnesota to admit that drafting Rubio 5th in the 2009 draft was a mistake. Teams/Orgs have trouble admitting they drafted wrong and let guys like Rubio hang around far too long. I'm sure Rubio is a great human being and a solid citizen. That makes it all that much harder to lower his minutes. Its time to make Rubio their back up PG or have him leave the team entirely. As a back up PG Rubio is at least average. b) A wholly owned D-League Affiliate If they plan on moving up the standings they won't be drafting from the top and they'll need a place to develop the high ceiling raw players you find lower in the 1st round. Unless they plan on drafting low ceiling ready-made players which is prolly a bad idea. iii.) a bench. playing several starters 40 minutes a game all year long is a bad idea. Putting Rubio on the bench helps this.

Putting Rubio on the bench helps this. If they have a DL Affiliate, they can have both 1 and 3. Adreian Payne, Tyus Jones and Kris Dunn all have that ceiling. Shabazz too. Those 4 guys just need one step up in their game, each.

Putting Rubio on the bench helps this. generally true but you also can't assume thibs knows what he actually needs. i agree that rubio is really limiting but they do need a rim protecting guy too. wiggins, not sure what his problem is between lack of effort and just lack of awareness. his inconsistency within season and even within games points to the former. he can play good for a few quarters but really disappear too.

![]() i don't think resting healthy players can be regulated. Teams will just become better at making up excuses. They'll be "dying" distant relatives... guys will intentionally flunk strength tests to prove they are in "pain" etc. So I think the only way to deal with it is to space out the games more and hope teams opt for resting players less often.
