Penn State won the field position game in the 2nd half because of some turnovers and some great punts by the Penn State punter. Also the Pitt running game stalled a bit.

87%+ of the Canadian population is so close to the US border that they can get lots of US stations without the help of cable. Lots of NFL to watch.

Canadians have always had lots of US based football to watch.

i think he's talking about central michigan who won on a miracle hail mary and lateral play, but the play shouldn't have happened because they were wrongly given an untimed down after oklahoma state was flagged for intentional grouding on 4th down

Pretty much. I think in these cases where it's the last play of the game and it's obviously done wrong there is perfect reason to overturn but they're not going to budge on it at least any time soon

Not until it happens to a team that will get enough attention

Moon was 1st in rushes and and 2nd rushing yards in his first year in the league amongst QBs; he and Elway sparked a change in the way Americans think about the QB position. in the CFL Moon rolled out and threw on the run constantly.. and just flat out ran all the time. I watched 1/2 of a Grey Cup in July and Moon RUSHED for 2 Touchdowns and rolled out at least 10 times. The commentators acted like it was just another game and were not surprised at all by all the running Moon was doing. Usually Moon was the #2 rusher on his Edmonton teams.

In conclusion, I find guys like Elway and Moon a lot more entertaining to watch than "pocket passers" like Marino.

I think you guys need to split QB's into pocket passer (Brady, Manning, Palmer), mobile (bootleggers or take what is given guys like Rodgers), and running QB's (Vick in his heyday and Newton with designed runs for them run frequently).

To be a successful NFL QB they all have to be able to throw from the pocket but the idea that QB's fit into pocket passer or else they are running QB's is silly.

I agree with giftdgecko. I think you have to look at the running subjectively though. There's opportunistic running in usually empty space, where my grandpa in a walker could get positive yardage, and then there's deliberate running with moves.

In his highest running season, Moon rushed 4.375 times a game for a 268 yards. That's somewhere in the middle, I guess.
