Patriots offense finally figured out that Atlanta was in man single safety and the refs were letting so much contact go. Defense stepped up and Atlanta gave the opportunities they needed. Jules' catch I finally lost my voice. The boo birds for Rog-god. Teared up seeing Bradys mom with the cancer doorag. Every sports fan should love seeing the Patriots in the superbowl, every time they deliver drama. From vinateri kicks to David tyree, Butler at the 1, the greatest NFL comeback ever. You might hate them, but you love to do it.

Too bad the refs were right on that last play. Imagine if White didn't really get in... plays like that are often reversed and put on like the 1 foot line. Getting the game started again would have been hilarious.

To the above, no way. The totality of Brady-Belichick run is greater than that single season, regardless of how great they were that year. At least we finally had our Tyree moment.

The premise is basically that since all the super bowls they have been in were so close if you could change history would you. Would you give up 3 of the close wins to change the loss to the Giants in the almost perfect season? No way. The Pats have never been about just one season at the expense of the future. Also the smug in New England is some how more out on control.

Either way This makes Brady the greatest of his generation and probably the GOAT. And the puts the Pats dynasty up against an in history. Pats dynasty was already up there because of being the only one during the salary cap era, but yeah this clinches it.

Eh, it's not quite that easy. The Patriots D very clearly made some adjustments between the halves that shut down the Falcons run game. You have to keep in mind that the Patriots kinda lucked out a bit on how the game progressed. There was an almost 2-hour delay between Falcons possessions from the first half going into the second half. This gave the Patriots a lot of time to regroup and figure some shit out on defense. Still, I don't like the playcalling on that drive where Ryan got sacked on second down and then a holding penalty was committed afterwards. It would have been better to stick to some safe, quick throws to keep the clock moving if Shanahan was committed to not risking 3 runs in a row for minimal to no gain.
