If I can't get the top 4 running backs. I have been going wide receiver or tight end in the first round. I don't trust anyone else to perform at the price of a first round pick

That 5th spot is so awkward. It just feels a tad too expensive for Lacy, Megatron and Jimmy.

I agree. I think I'd lean Graham over the other two due to positional scarcity. I think that Megatron is too close to other WRs and Lacy has major bust potential relative to the pick you're spending on him.

If you're gonna take a te early than it may as well be graham, I don't like the way rb get after round 5 or so.. No team of mine will go into rd 6 or 7 without 2 solid starting rbs

Well I generally like guys with more data points than one year. For example, I avoided Martin like the plague last year. I've also avoided Jose Bautista and Chris Davis after their breakout years in baseball. It's a hit and miss strategy.

With my first round pick, I want to ensure that my pick is safe so I can make sure my team is competitive enough to make the playoffs because then it's usually a crapshoot (barring injury of corse). I don't think you can win a league in the first but you can certainly lose one. To me, there's a chance he doesn't live up to 5th pick expectations, so even if he's the 5th best RB, he might not be the 5th most valuable player. With Rodgers back full time, there's too many new variables for me to be comfortable taking him. I don't think he'll be bad, just not what you're paying for.

Uh Matthews because Eagles offense and PPR but I'm not sure. I think Wheaton will feature prominently in their offense this year. Hunter catches few balls but gets a ton if TDs.

Ok. I currently have Justin Hunter, but will likely drop him for either Matthews or Wheaton. I just dont know which one to go for > <

edit: Or should I just keep my 1 rookie WR in Brandin Cooks and get someone who will be more consistent?

Dwayne Bowe, Rueben Randle, Deandre Hopkins, Anquan Boldin, Marvin Jones, Hakeem Nicks are all still available.

double edit: Or should I handcuff one of the stud RBs? Knile Davis is available as well.

Hard to say, but I'm not big on Hopkins. Call it a gut feeling based on his play last year maybe he'll still break out though. I haven't seen his tape in the pre-season yet.

That was also my assessment going into last week. And I was kicking myself for not picking him up in the TL draft.

But from watching the game last night, I think I underestimated Cooper's chemistry with Foles - despite some limitation in his talent. There's just too many mouths to feed. I think the most likely scenario is that Matthews will produce some monster weeks but good luck hunting for those in the regular season.
