Yeah also made the same moves with Abidal and Pete Mickeal offering them only to get rid of them before they recovered from their health issues xD Pete Mickeal's case in particular was quite sadly made (basketball division btw)

Neymar's contract bullshit, kids poaching... and Barça fans still defend the actions, lovely

Please let this game be good,
SANDY, Utah — Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dwyer hates Real Salt Lake, and RSL seem keen on using his feelings as motivation going into their weekend tilt.
Dwyer, who scored the game-winner against Colorado in the 92nd minute this past Saturday, recently looked ahead to Saturday's 2013 MLS Cup final rematch against RSL by saying, “I hate them very much.” RSL are not too bothered by it.
In fact, they seem to enjoy the bulletin-board material that the Sporting KC forward has given them.
“I like it,” RSL defender Nat Borchers told reporters on Tuesday. “I like the talk. I like when teams don't like each other. And we don't like Kansas City just as much as they don't like us.”
Added head coach Jeff Cassar: “I like it. It makes my job a little easier."
The two teams have had it out for each other since a physical preseason match in 2011 that culminated with a bench-clearing brawl and was called before it was completed.
The 2013 regular-season match between RSL and SKC included 26 fouls, seven yellow cards and an ejection that left Salt Lake down a man midway through the second half. Sporting KC won 2-1 on a goal in the 97th minute.
And then there was the MLS Cup final in December, which finished at 1-1 before SKC won the championship in a penalty shootout that went 10 players deep.

Well, Zubizarreta only buy one player every year, so this is not much of a difference. he is terrible in the transfer market anyway.
PD: Barcelona need president elections this summer.

Btw PL guys is anyone from Liverpool/Chester? I'm going there this weeked and I need a few pointers xD (Will take it to PMs)

Maybe some of their highly touted youngsters can get chances in the squad. Still kind of harsh though, La Masia is one of the best sporting academies in the world and provides a quality education/upbringing in addition to the football training. For that reason alone you'd think most of these kids would want to go there.

They can still sell players. They have plenty of wingers, do you think Delofeu would break into the Barca first team over Pedro/Neymar/Alexis/Iniesta (or Cesc, whoever happens to be out on the wing). They've got Tello and Cuenca in the reserves as well. I'm not sure about Cuenca when I saw him under Pep, but Tello probably beats out Delofeu.
edit: And that Korean kid is ridiculous

So what, Lee Seung Woo is Korean Messi and Alen Halilovic is Croatian Messi?
Also, Lee Seung Woo, who played in the U15's, had 39 goals and 15 assists in 29 games...
Edit: Originally, Chelsea and Liverpool were seeking to sign the player, but he went with Barcelona, I presume, as they offered the family a pretty sweet deal from what I know, like paying for the airplane flights, their new home, and obviously, a chance for their kid to play for one of the best youth football academy in the world.
Edit 2: Also, another Korean player with FCB, Paik Seung Ho is being hailed as the next "Korean Messi" as well. Link here. And then there's Jang Gyeol Hee, who's also seen as another Korean future superstar. I dunno what to believe... It could more or less be the Korean media just over-exaggerating our athletes, but for the sake of tomorrow's Korean football, hopefully these players will be the next big thing.

Yeah and the UEFA wants to stop Barça from giving youth like that (and youth often in bad and poor environments) a chance at an amazing life.
What a dumb organisation.

should be very careful about protecting youngins from being taken advantage of from coorps. good call. hope they enforce it more stringently.
would like to see more strict financial fair-play rules enforced as well. and would gladly cut off the cancerous part of modern football where clubs are no longer loyal to their supporters, but to coorps and fat barons for something more relatable and less absurd.

Well, I haven't taken a look at the thread to see if there was any discussion about the matter, but it sucks in the sense that all these players probably want to do is just play football and have fun, but at the same time, the governing body of FIFA probably want to avoid teenagers and kids, like the players Barcelona is seeking, becoming "exploited", in the sense that they're just given some bait to come play like some sort of dog.
Personally, I think a 6-month (1 transfer window) ban is plenty, 2 transfer window bans is pretty much forcing a team to slowly falter all alone with nothing it can do about it. As for the kids, hopefully they get whatever type of punishment rescinded. Apparently there were 5 players in total, 3 Koreans, 1 Nigerian-Dutch (?), and one Cameroon (?).
