However having football clubs go around the world BUY kids seems wrong, and honestly, how many of these kids end up as superstars, and how do the others end up? Do they even study properly while they are being transformed into footballing monsters?

And while I have no real knowledge on whether barcelona is really much worse than other clubs in this regard, I think it's awesome that actual punishment was handed out and not some wrist-slap that they can just ignore. Also makes me positive towards implementation of FFP, because this sentence takes some balls.

That being said, I realize that fifa is trying to make an example of barca and that for every one of those kids in the video, there are many others who are scammed and have their lives ruined. But that doesn't mean that they should now hamper the careers of the few that are on the right paths in life. And the kids do get educated, even more so than in korea. I think two of those three barca kids have stated that although they never studied in korea because of their decision to become footballers, but now they actually go to school and don't train everyday. In korea, once you decide to become an athlete, you have to go all-in and give up academics. Not the case in barca. Also, why is only barca being punished for this. There are a few other korean youth players in spanish clubs including one younger than the barca kids at valencia. This is only korean players, what about youth players from africa or everywhere else? How many clubs are in violation of this rule? Probably nearly every club in the top european leagues. Barca has gotten penalized for this, but this rule has so many loopholes. The rules say that a player is allowed to be part of the club if their parents are also in the same country as the child and have jobs. Or at least something like that. What's to stop barcelona or any other club for that matter to call in a few favors and find the parents jobs?

FIFA's goal shouldn't be to stop opportunities like this for great young athletes to get training and schooling from great facilities like la masia or from a program like Ajax, or in almost all of the German youth facilities now. These facilities place as much emphasis on a proper education as they do on learning to play Football. Some encourage the kids to play other sports as well to increase coordination. They end up getting the chance at an incredible childhood because of this opportunity. If all facilities worked as the Germans/La Masia/Ajax did then this fear of exploitation would be rubbish. But some don't (looking at you England, though I think that is recognized and will be changing in the future), and they do nothing but play Football and minimal tutoring. However, this DOES hurt the Spanish national team. If La Masia and Real Madrid were recruiting nothing but Spanish kids to train they would create better player for their country, though I don't think the Catalan club cares as much about that as Real might ![]()

Lee seung woo just signed a contract with barca and even his relatives were going to come live in spain. His parents had already been living in spain before all this happened. if fifa wasn't trying to stop this, then lee seung woo and the others wouldn't be examples set by fifa for what barca did wrong. this case isn't really clear and hasn't been properly analyzed so either of us could be wrong, but this is the vibe that i'm getting so far

If my baby nephew gets scouted by barca in 8 years, he's now only 2, I'd probably like to go watch him play in a barca junior outfit while barca themselves set me up with a job. Because they do that you know, parents complain about their careers, barca with their infinite entrepreneurial weight(every major team has huge millionairs/billionairs in their council) finds them a job they like in spain. And who wouldn't want to leave in barcelona, just the soft mediterranean weather alone is worth it.

Hyypiä and Lewandowski were a good coaching team together, Hyypiä alone doesn't seem to have what it takes.

I think it is more that Bayer played over their potential in the first half of the season and now hit reality. Would rather like to see Wolfsburg or Gladbach in CL anyway.

Losing to Hamburg and Hoffenheim and tying with Braunschweig is certainly less than what this team is capable of.

Atletico must be very tired so far this season, so much games without rotations... and today Diego Costa and Arda can't play. Villareal is not a easy opponent (they are in uefa spot) but at least Atletico plays at home, so I hope they can win. Real Madrid plays Real Sociedad, another UEFA team, and they play in Anoeta (Real Sociedad stadium). Cristiano is injured. This will be a very important match. Barcelona plays at home against the last team in la liga, that is almost sure demoted. This should be easy.

For example, Paik seung ho, the first player to go to la masia, still plays for barca in non-fifa organized tournaments and friends but also plays on loan at cornella. cornella is a catalan club and the league that they're playing in is not fifa organized. Not too sure how barca will handle the other players, but don't see why they can't use the same approach. Also, why is theo chendri being named? isn't he french? With the 2 year transfer ban coming to effect for Barcelona this is actually a great opportunity for the young players from the reserve and youth team to shine through.
