The top 3 are balanced on a knife edge but I believe that Man U have a winning pedigree. RVP cannot be underestimated and people are already underestimating the supreme quality of Valencia and indeed Nani. Those three alone are the best spearhead you could possibly hope for. Throw in Rooney, Fellaini and Carrick...scary stuff. They have a reasonable defence and an incredible keeper. They already won the league last year. I just don't see Man City being able to win it - even though Aguero is an incredible player and they will really benefit from him being back - the new players will take time to settle in as will the manager. But they should only lose out by a few points and Chelsea should be no more than 7 points behind.
Previously I have stated I believe it would be a win for City but I think they will have another season like they did 3 seasons ago - all the pieces are in place but they just can't get over the hurdle.

Good points. I was leaning more towards City myself because they have the better bench, but the team will indeed need time to settle in while Utd are already used to winning and Fellaini should tip the scale in Utd's favor. It's certainly going to be a close race though and a key injury could decide the winner in the end.
I wonder how the Utd fans see it. They have been rather negative this transfer window.

All the united fans on my facebook are depressed about their transfer business

United and City dropped valuable points already this season. Yanited away to Liverpool City away to Cardiff Big points dropped.
Chelsea have only faced one test against Yanited, and Mourinho played defensively because he hasn't got full trust in his attacking options yet, but when he played Bayern 4 days later it was a much better performance and if we played like that vs Yanited we might of been able to nick a 1-0 (maybe)
That being said i still think it will be close but im confident it is Chelsea who can come out on top this season, with next year being the year of a 3 way battle, with Moyes and Pellegrini with more experience and more "their" squads in place.

haha, would you believe that ozil is now more expensive than gotze?

i dont think any united fan doubts that we can still win the league. even without fellaini wed still be contenders, so its not our performance that worries us but rather whats going to happen in future transfer windows

Also don't forget Ozil isn't bad and is ONLY 24, with all that experience, most managers say players hit their peak at 25-27, so the Ozil buy is pretty good, and Madrid needed to recoup money and Arsenal and Wenger had to do something or there would of been a civil war from the fanzzz
If you asked me who i wanted RIGHT NOW i would pick Ozil over Gotze too

Yeah, i'd take ozil over gotze too. Ozil just seems to ooze class and has such an ability to play the killer pass. Only downside is that he's a bit inconsistent

Could someone explain me how and more why the f*** a man gets 100 mille for being an entertainer (yes they entertain, so they are entertainer imo). I love it that I hear every day that we are all in a deep debt, can´t afford any shit, but for sports we suddenly have more then enough money?

Big signing, a lot of media attention, people buy merchandise. Personally I'm not really convinced by Bale for him to cost 100M, but for example Ronaldo was 90+ and apparently it turned out great.

It's because there are rich people in the world, who fund these transfers. Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world, the most fans the most shirt sales, that gives them the power to give stupid money for transfers. HOWEVER, the €100million fee is a bit out of context. No one knows the exact fee, Real Madrid say they paid €74million for him where as Tottenham claim they got €80 something million. The only people who know are the clubs and their both different in what is what

Also, the player himself is not getting paid 100 million. Real Madrid pay Tottenham 100 million, then Read Madrid pay Bale a salary, which is reported to be around 10 million per year.

It's like buying a brand basically. Except that the brand then plays for you and you need to pay it while it needs to perform.

Yeah ok the sellings are a good argument. One more question do I have: Where does the money go? Only to him? With this amount of money I guess everyone will try to gain a bit of it. Are their any lawful ways where the money has to flow?

I thought I would put my thoughts on Bolton as it features in the OP:-
Last season Bolton ended the season strongly but this was largely down to the loan signing of Craig Dawson from WBA. He scored four crucial goals and solidified the defence. We are still in need of a central defender and the if pre-season and the first few games are an indication we will struggle. Our two best players are injured (Stuart Holden and Mark Davies) and we have no funds to replace them. I predict a mid to lower league position with Freedman possibly being sacked.
As for the big boys, Tottenham must be laughing because Bale is not worth that sort of fee. I really like what they have done in spending the money too, I expect they will seriously challenge for the top four. Moyes and United seemed to panic at the end and this window is a nightmare start to his reign, could they even finish outside the top four? Not impressed with City and their business either but they already had quality everywhere. Looks like Wenger has finally had a shift in transfer policy too, but if he wants Arsenal to rise to invincible level, it will need to continue.

Meh it's not even that much money tbh. Music and film stars are earning similar amounts if not more. And business people can earn even more even though some of them are actively doing bad things to the world.

The money goes to Tottenham for the "buyout" of Bales contract. However in football there is Agents, who take %s of everything, signing on fee's transfer fee etc. So im sure Bale's agents who have been interviewed in recent weeks have taken money off this deal. Gareth Bale new contract gives him £300,000 a week but after tax he takes home £130,000 (direct to his bank) every week.
The only lawful ways the money has to stick to is general money laws. Tax has to be paid on wages etc, transfer fee probably has to be taxed at the end of financial year as Tottenham (all football clubs this applies too) are a business so will pay there tax bill then.
Of course when this much money is being thrown around and football is a very very very rich business, lots of people abuse the system and tax dodge and who knows what. So who knows what actually happens behind the scenes ^_^ too many loop holes to abuse.
Facts once again:
Real Madrid bought Gareth Bale's contract out, this cost them between €74-90million. Bale signed a 6 year contract, in which he gets paid £300,000 a week, but after Spanish tax works out at £135,000 a week.
In other words, if you get the opportunity, PLAY FOR REAL MADRID!!
