Now that I think about it, if my cj is 60% of my max dl (which it should be I think depending on how efficient my clean is) then I should be able to pull 605. When I last maxed it was 238 deadlift and clean was about 145. Which would be awesome. Kinda makes me want to max my deadlift!

Gonna do 102.5kg the next time since I didn't miss a rep. It also looks like I finally defeated the hip flexor pain for good, all that stretching paid off I guess. My bench will also increase the next workout and my press within the next two, deadlift goes up anyway. Since 2plate was kind of a personal goal for me I'm gonna aim for 1bw bench 1.5bw squat 2bw deadlift 0.7bw press now. I should reach all of that within the next 3 weeks except for the press. I guess after that my next big goals are 1plate press, 2plate bench, 3plate squat, 4plate deadlift. If I can do all that until winter then I'm really satisfied.

They're not really used outside of olympic lifting. typical gym plates only go up to 45lb/20kg (and the odd 100lb plates you use on a leg press). 220kg is 485 lbs - closer to 5 plates than to 4 plates.

If only there was a place to olympic lift around here I'd be all over it. red plates are 25kg, blue plates are 20kg, yellow plates are 15kg, green plates are 10kg, white plates are 5kg. Then there are smaller diameter plates that are 1/10th the larger plate of the same color (so red is 2.5kg, blue is 2kg, etc.) The bar is 20kg, and competitiong weight lifting collars are 2.5kg each (5kg/pair) now you're all set to watch the olympic lifting videos that people post here, and it'll be even more impressive if you count up the weight.

Our fucking aussie prop(looks more like a flanker) does sets of 4 with 225kg/495lbs ass to grass at around 110kg bw. Must get stronger. A prop under 130kg? Blasphemy. I can't make it to your game in NYC - that's a 6 hour trip on an exam week, but if you're playing any future tournaments in New York/Pennsylvania/New England let me know.

Tomorrow I go home for Easter though, which means my training will be extremely restricted. My rowing club where I workout at home has a narrow squat rack (narrower than I can get my hands for squatting low bar) next to a wall which means you can only use a short 13.5kg bar on it with a really low weight rating. No squats for me. Also no room for a bench in the rack, and I won't normally have a spot, so no bench either. Loads of upper back options though. I'm going to have to work something out using only press, cleans and DLs. Issue is I'm not good enough with cleans to be doing significant weight, I guess this Easter will just be a good time to work on that.

front squat bunch of reps around 70 and 100, then 120 130 150 170 180 190x snatch 50 70 90 110 120x 120 125 130 135x cj 70 120 130 140 150x 150x 150 I know its been a long fucking week when i can feel the fatigue in my arms from pulling so much. lower back and hips fucking hate me. legs still feel fresh though. Totals for this week: 290, 160 (no time to snatch), 280, 280 with at least 90% squatting and a huge back squat PR On March 15 2013 03:22 phyre112 wrote: A prop under 130kg? Blasphemy. Aww too bad :/ And yeah he's fucking good too, quick with skills and 255kg squat so he can still scrum at his weight.
