How is your bench almost equal to your squat? That's crazy. I've been going to them gym consistantly for 3 weeks now, figured it's time to start logging. Fridays workout: 3x5 165lb squat. I realized I wasnt going deep enough so I dropped the weight a bit. 3x5 120 lb bench. Struggled so hard through, so proud ofgetting through it. 1x5 145 deadlift. I know I can do more but I just started and my form is terrible.

heres some samples from previous blogs/logs: Tuesday, 10 March 2009 + Show Spoiler + moved up to 2x7kg dumbells @ low reps, crunches with legs raised low reps trying to focus on technique, also avoiding temptation of continual workout lol. muscle growth on arms is very noticeable and makes me giggle??? started cardio today..... 10 minute jog lololol. going to bank in a minute so will do more then. purchased a heart-rate monitor from amazon, should arrive tomorrow! read that cardio workout zone = 0.75(220-age), and you can approximate bpm by counting beats in 6 seconds and multiplying by 10. so my zone is ~140 and i need to count 14 beats in 6 seconds to know i've reached it. sounds...painful. Thursday, 9 September 2010 + Show Spoiler + squat 42.4 (+2.5) bpress 45 (+0) leg raises 3x11 dumbell 12.5 7,6,4 negative pull-ups started at tanning booth. burnt. Monday, 24 January 2011 + Show Spoiler + squat 55 (+5??) bpress 45 (-2.5) mpress 25 (-2.5) lat pulldown ~45 got 200g cheese and 4 litre milk, and worked out: £4.50 3200kcal 170 protein 140 fat 94 carb 42p : 35f : 23c Monday, 9 May 2011 + Show Spoiler + bench 55 564?5 deadlift 70? squat 30 bs form shit lat pulls still shit Wednesday, 25 May 2011 + Show Spoiler + need at least ONE HOUR gap between eating and gym. not possible otherwise. squat practice and 40kg with wedge bench 57.5 after heavy warmup. first set not bad, 2nd set not sure due to spotter - possibly 4. third set collapse at 2/3. very tired by then so next session hoping for 3x5. opted out of dead due to fatigue Thursday, 24 November 2011 + Show Spoiler + squat 70kg 2-2-2-2 press 32.5kg 6-6-6, 35kg 5 or 6 clean working up to 47.5kg 2012 log file: + Show Spoiler + 2013 + Show Spoiler + notice how in 2009 i weighed like 69kg @ 6'2'' and "moved up" to 7kg dumbell curl LOL :D theres another blog with like 30+ workouts somewhere but can't find it. most if not all of my stuff is in the old TLHF threads, but under different usernames. stuff really gets going in 2012 though, but you can see how i make literally zero progress from having poor consistency (and poor everything else) all over the place, nomatter how hard i was trying. 2011 had a shit ton of workouts im sure. i was alcoholic as fuck at the start of that year, but moved to brighton and started slowly getting it under control at last. before brighton i was at a gym in blackpool for a while and really getting into it, and before blackpool i was at university (again) in stoke - that was where i joined TLHF and started SS at the university gym, put on a shitload of weight eating nothing but minced beef for weeks on end and drinking 4 litres of milk every day (inbetween 3x24 units of cider every week and insane episodes of anxiety & psychosis). man its been a long ride, its insane to think how much ive changed/grown in just a few years, though the sufffering i went through makes it feel like 20 years (i had alcoholism intense anxiety since 3 years prior to leaving for stoke, during which time i worked a hellish job at nursing home, and wanted to quick drinking due to the crippling anxiety but doing so was unthinkable)

Also, i know shit sucks but fuck shit sucks. If you werent alive tomorrow would be happy with what you did today? Thats how ive been living life since ive had two friends die this year in car accidents and myself literally come two feet from getting hit by a drunk driver while walking home. You can't feed yourself excuses. You could literally never have another day. Spend each day making yourself the person you want to be. Sorry this is kind of dark but you've had a long fucking road and it's time to get your shit together.

If the gym means everything to you, you're doing life wrong. If it means a lot to you, and you make time for it, you'll make progress. Youve got to decide what's the right balance before you figure out where you're going. If the gym means a lot to you, you'll make the sacrifice. If it means everything, you're doing something wrong. FFG, keep fighting. You stay away from those damn cigs, you keep getting that fucking squat up. the rest of TLHF, you keep fucking pushing on both of us, because we need to go places.

But even so, I don't know what the rules were exactly, but isn't your ass supposed to stay on the bench? And wasn't her grip way too wide?
