High-Volume is doing good things for me, in all places except my right elbow. Gotta figure something out for that :/.

70 120 150 170 200 210 220 all went up easy, then two misses at 228. First one i was a bit timid on the way down, second one was a lot smoother but both of em just barely stuck me at the sticking point ![]() ![]() followed up with cleans at 70 100 110 120 130 140 145 148 150 152x then a couple doubles at 120 and an easy 140. Focused on keeping the weight backwards and it felt a lot smoother today.

Got a chance to get a thanksgiving lift in at my coach's place yesterday. Clean and jerked up to 155 (haven't jerked over 120 in months). Rotator cuff didn't hurt at all, no idea. Maybe when my technique is better it doesnt hurt? idk Meanwhile, his daughter hit a 100kg PR clean and jerk (she competes at 63) while sick. Insane.

I've been stalling a bit recently and would like some advice from someone who knows their shit. My program for the first 4 months looked something like this Squat 3x a week, 5x5, 6x3, 3x10 (hi bar atg), same for bench Clean pulls 1x a week (light, more assitance than anything else) Eventually this became too much, and now i do this 1: squat 4x5, bench 5x5 2: deadlift 3x3, craptons of assistance 3: squat 6x3, bench 6x3 At the end of every other 1 month cycle (trying for 5kg a month gains on all lifts) i would do a quick taper/peak to test some singles/doubles potential Every day has a ton of assistance crap thrown in. Mostly the following: Rows, OHP, pullups, YWT's, dumbell bench, face pulls, lat raises --- As a quick overview of me/my strength, i started at 60~kg and now i'm 70kg, squat bench deadlift being 120kg, 75kg, 130kgx2 I'm an extreme ecto and have very, very thin wrists (as does the rest of my family) I'm 174cm, or 5'8.5 --- So what happened is mostly problems with my squats. I've just stopped getting gains. In the last month i basically havnt been able to break pb's. I'm not sure if this is because im destroying myself with deadlifts, or whether my body is just too tired from the ridiculous amounts of squatting i've done over the last 6 months. My deadlifts and benches have been gaining fairly steadily however, so i'm not worried about these (as have all my assistance excercises). Only my squats has suffered A month ago (previous cycle) i could do a set of 110x5, now i can barely manage 2 sets of 3, and my 5x5 and 6x3 program has suffered massively on squats Nearly any kind of squatting i've done recently in attempt to break previous PB results in failed set The guy who set my program is basically too lazy to help me out atm and probably isn't able to anymore at this point also ![]() Fwiw on the 9th i will be taking a 3 week holiday to asia where i am likely to have very sporadic training and plenty of rest. That might help when i come back ---- edit: on a side note, does anyone know or understand the science behind whether there is such thing as maintaining a bodyweight for cutting or reducing bf%age? (no matter how slow!). Like, what would happen if someone maintained a weight through calorie control with the correct diet but still progressed on a lifting/bodybuilding programme? Surely they wouldn't just "stay the same" - or would they?
