@SoleSteeler you'll get 115kg ezpz soon man, considering what you are squatting. Might just need to give your back a break for a few days. Deadlifts can wreck me like no other lift sometimes. | ||

So I go from a 3 plate deadlift to snatching and cleaning the bar (not that I would ever give up dls) and it feels amazing. I can feel my hips opening up with all the pigeon stretches and hip flexor stretches. Not to mention getting your heart rate up to cardio levels when you're doing 5 second clean into front squat into overhead presses. I always end with something heavy just to get that 'pump' though. When you guys were training something complicated like a clean and jerk, how long did it take to get the right flexibility? How long until you were jerking what you could strict press? | ||

I have never been able to press or push press as much as I can jerk, i never understood how that is even possible T_T (my jerk is at least 40kg over my best push press and almost double my best press). | ||

That's normal... I'm still working on jerking what I can press. Maybe it has something to do with muscle fibers being trained for slow, methodical movements as opposed to fast twitchy power. EDIT: and obviously flexibility at the hip/ankle. Been doing Asian squats every day to help that one. | ||

80 kg high bar squat 5x5 felt great. Since i can do 105 kg low bar squat... Maybe I'll get back up to that in high bar fairly quickly. I find it easier to keep good form with the high bar squat compared to the low bar, for whatever reason. | ||
