Managed a 3x115lb power clean! Seeing how I can MP 135lb once my wrist feels better it shouldn't be a stretch to jerk it. Supersets with 2x325lb deads make for a good sweat. Still having trouble catching IN the squat position, instead I just power clean straight up and go into a full front squat. Any idea what's the weight ratio to a standing catch power clean compared to a "full" squat catch? Also, are the big lifters limited by their high pull, front squat, or jerk? Which one should I focus on building strength while I'm still lifting in a "comfort" range? | ||

@abraxas it varies lifter to lifter. Its important to find your weaknesses work on them. For now i'd put a heavy emphasis on technique and speed under the bar. | ||

Bench 120 3x5 DL 245 1x5 Pull ups BW+20 3x5 Benching felt decent except lock out on the last set. That felt a little difficult. The DL I think my back was way too rounded but I think it's more about flexibility than anything else. I'm going to continue stretching every day and hope that improves my form. That aside it felt really easy and was way easier off the ground than it was last time. I think I'll go for 255 next time and see how it goes. The pull ups I was pretty pleased with, although I'd like to eventually work up to a 1 RM of +75 lbs. If it was a bit nicer today (it's raining pretty hard over here in NY) I'd have done some jump rope, but oh well. | ||

Went for 317 for a 2lb PR then that felt alright so jumped up to 325 and got it. Not a whole lot of weight but still feels good to make progress after a whole year. Smolov imba (noob version but still good). | ||

Things to work on - bit of arm pull there at the end, maybe getting yours hips through a bit more, and you're still jumping forward a bit more. I think if you relax the arms and finish the pull and keep it close you'll add some easy kilos to your max. Also i would add a bit of extra hip/knee/ankle mobility work so you can get an better bottom position. You're getting pretty low but i think if you moved your feet out a bit you could get lower, i can't really tell from the angle though. | ||

I was listening to a video with norik vardanian. He mentioned using snatch with no hip contact as a drill to pull straighter. It might be useful for you. | ||

weight: from 90+/-2kg ----> 80kg (24% BF... i suppose is lower now) squat: 5RM 175kg PR OHP: 5RM 60kg PR DL: 110kg bench: 5RM 110kg PR rows: 5RM 90kg PR next year goals: try some olimpic weight lifting 15% BF (dont know if this is realistic) | ||

i start from the beginning because of bad form and also i felt super dizzy DL high weights. my max was 170kg. | ||
