I guess there will be backlash for Götze and esp. Santana (he goes to Schalke, thats a lot worste than going to Bayern) next season, atm it wasn't that bad because we were in the CL-Final and everyone was focused on supporting the Club. For Lewandowski it wont be that bad. He never said he wanted to stay, everyone knows he will be leaving this or next summer. But Götze said this season something like "I could imagine retiring here" and "A transfer is not on my mind anytime soon".
In other news: Real Madrid will, most likely, buy Carvajal back from Leverkusen.
None for Santana. He could have left last year for free, he signed a new 1yr contract and he was garanteed a transfer after this season. He did nothing wrong.
MG23 on the other side... fucking judas!
I´m sorry i can´t take people seriously that are mad at Götze or Bayern for the transfer.
At first Dortmund fans seems to forget about a guy named Marco Reus you might remember him from the final because he was fucking awesome. 2011 Dortmund used the same buy-out clause to buy him for 18 Million €. It was exacly what Götze and Bayern did. Do you think Gladbach was happy about this? I don´t think so. So please stop these we are the good, the other the dark side shit.
At second this is professional sport. Please name me 1 club that has success over a long period of time without acting like that. It´s just how this business work. Dortmund would do exacly the same if they would have the same money as Bayern or Barca or Real has. And Götze is 20 years. Remember what shit you say back then without beeing asked the same question 300 times a day.
1) Reus grew up and played in Dortmund before going to Gladbach.
2) Reus was a serious upgrade for Dortmund (no, Götze is not).
3) Reus was bought during a break.
4) A Munich source leaked the info the day before Dortmund faced RM in the CL semi's.
5) Götze just recently signed an extension and told the BVB community that he could see himself retiring there.
6) And on and on and on.
This topic was hashed out a month ago. The situations are similar in the fact that there was a buyout clause. That's about it. It's much more similar to Neuer leaving Schalke.
Oh, and "it's normal" isn't an excuse.
Im having a really hard time seeing what the fuss is here. So what were supposed to gather is that Dortmund is a protagonist in a story that doesnt really have any good guys ?
Worse things have happened in football transfer markets. Most people are used to it at this point. atleast you would think..
In my opinion there are two really disappointing parts to the Götze transfer but the transfer itself is not one of them.
1. Götze saying he can imagine staying in Dortmund forever. - it's a pretty big statement if you have 10-15 years to playin your career, but people would of course believe him as he already was a part of the club since he was 9. It gave him an easy way out - people might stop asking and when the shock comes he can just sit there, be quiet and wait until he can leave. I can see why he might have acted the way he did but he was blatantly lying.
2. Hoeneß just days before told media that he's gonna meet with Watzke after the season because he wanted to search for solutions to make the Bundesliga more competetive. He especially saw problems that might arise if the Bundesliga became "spanish" as in 2 big teams and nobody else. Of course all the rumours about Lewandowski and the buyout of Götze led to everybody thinking that Hoeneß wants to reach a scottish situation.
As part of a business the decisions taken are absolutely okay but both of these things are disappointing from a perspective between people. So we're gonna hear rage about the transfer in a year because people feel personally attacked.
People should just stop with all the Judas crying etc. We're having a great team, we can be proud of everything reached in the last years, we can celebrate things a lot of fans won't ever celebrate in their lifetime. Forget how the transfer happened (or how everybody thinks it most likely happened) and enjoy yourself and the sport.

Who knows i think the story is bogus. How can he want showdown talks with a man who is currently at Real Madrid preparing for their last game of the season. Whilst Luiz is also on international duty xD
No question their is been rumours for a while about Barca making a bid, but that won't become anything until July sometime. I don't know what Jose will think of him, but unless he brings Khederia level holding midfielder with him, Luiz is the best we have xD

Quoting this because smr summed it up really good.
On Eriksen to Dortmund: I hope we get him, would be awesome.
The whole "Götze signed a new contract just the year before" point is in fact the crucial one here since that new contract included the buyout clause. I also think that the whole "more competetive" stuff from Hoeneß didn't exactly aim at an agreement not to buy good players off other teams, but much moreso towards a even more evenly spread-out distribution of money from TV rights and stuff.
Strange move from Liverpool, Celta might very well go down, perhaps it would have been smarter to negotiate after La Liga ends? I guess its good to get business done before Tottenham shows up though.
