I don't doubt the 100M figure, Perez said Neymar would have cost Real 150M.
The hype makes Neymar expensive, but at the same time it guarantees a lot of advertising revenue. I am pretty sure Barcelona-sponsor Nike was very interested in bringing their star player to Europe, especially when Messi is sponsored by Adidas.
For Neymar's career it might be dangerous, he is already filthy rich before he has achieved anything really. It depends on his personality. And seriously, I doubt he is able to play on a similar level as Messi or C.Ronaldo. But that's what is expected when sums like that are involved.

It's kind of crazy a 21 year old makes that much money... he's a year older than me and has probably made more than I will in my life lol.
Anyway I hope for him he doesn't waste his talent like so many others because of the fame and the money.

sure they get to fuck bitches and swim in money, but that only makes it up a little. Now im not saying we should feel sorry for them,as im certain those guys enjoy fat bearded people and training everyday, but i sure as hell dont want to live that way.

Spain's Confederations Cup squad
Come on, del Bosque, you already have Juan Mata, David Silva, and Jordi Alba, why would you want scrubs like Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal on your team ;__;
(I know I will sound like a homer here but it's a shame that Mikel Arteta can't even get a call up for a meaningless tournament like this. He deserves it )

On that Lewandowski to Bayern thing: Watzke said that it is not true + Klopp said they haven't received an official offer yet. Anything Lewandowskis agent says has to be handled with caution, he is one of the most unprofessional in the business, always telling shit to the media for attention whoring.
That agent btw said something in the lines of "Robert searches new challenges every 2 or 3 years", basically saying: "If you get him, he wont stay for long (So I get more moneyz!!!!111)"
I really hope he doesn't go to Bayern. If he just wants to go there, tell him "hell no" and let him play for Borussia Dortmund for one last year. Selling him to England/Spain would be the reasonable choice, if he wants to go there. If they sell him to Bayern (or any other club really), Dortmund has to get a good replacement first, then sell.

Isn't there any backlash against turncoats in Germany? I never understood how for example in Italian football so many players switch around Inter-Juve-Milan. When Figo left Barça for Real fans were throwing pig heads onto the pitch.
|
Oh yeah, post above reminded me, aren't bayern fans mad with gotze obviously supporting dortmund? It was apparent from his reactions during the final, he got a lot of screen time for just a spectator, lol.
You don't expect him to support bayern all of a sudden, but a bit more professionalism/neutrality would be nice I think.

I guess there will be backlash for Götze and esp. Santana (he goes to Schalke, thats a lot worste than going to Bayern) next season, atm it wasn't that bad because we were in the CL-Final and everyone was focused on supporting the Club. For Lewandowski it wont be that bad. He never said he wanted to stay, everyone knows he will be leaving this or next summer. But Götze said this season something like "I could imagine retiring here" and "A transfer is not on my mind anytime soon".
In other news: Real Madrid will, most likely, buy Carvajal back from Leverkusen.

I don't think so. It's his team for this season and he even was supposed to play for them if he had not been injured. What are they expecting? Ah Matthäus move? Of course, there will be some groups hating on him like they did with Neuer when he came from Schalke, but that will always happen (Neuer managed to get into the fan's hearts just now with winning the CL finals and having a big portion of it during the first half). Götze seems to be more of a persona non grata in Dortmund by now, they even skipped on the official thank-you-farewell-stuff before the last game in Dortmund because they feared that the fans would not be pleased; and it seems like he also wasn't treated very nicely during the welcome meeting after the finals.

Anyway gettig shouted at and trainjng every day is not what I call tough... most people work their whole lifr and get shouted at by their boss at times. Their biggest loss is their childhood imo which is why I personally would never want to switch with them.

Not surprised Martinez left Wigan. Interesting to see where he ends up. I guess it'll be Everton.

Reported Everton asked to speak with Martinez on Friday but Wigan rejected. Now he wants to leave Wigan will allow Everton to speak to Martinez.
I put a £20 bet on Martinez to be Everton boss after we found out Moyes was odds on favorite to be Man Utd managed (so like 3weeks ago xD)

I think the backlash for Götze will be bigger. At least right now, so close after the cl-finals I can't imagine hating on Santana. Just before the final I listened to the bvb-malaga netradio again and it makes Santana immortal. As for Götze... let's be honest: he's been injured for years, he told us that he can imagine retiring in Dortmund, he suddenly turns around and says "screw you"....
Might just be my way to get done with the situation but looking back I feel that the loss of Kagawa and Sahin were at their time far worse.
Another topic: Media say Dortmund might be interested in Barcelonas Defelou. I'm not too interested in their roster so I never heard of him. Did he do anything special yet? His market price is estimated to be 15million.... I always wonder where those numbers come from. His performance might be similar to Marco Reus but he brought a team nobody expected to Europe while Defelou scores in the second spanish Liga. No way any german player from the 2. Bundesliga or from Bayerns amateur team would ever be estimated at 15million (I guess. wait for it somebody will prove me wrong : )
