Officially ended cutting weight 18 Dec 2012 (107kg ---> 88kg at 168cm). Best lifts were 92/110/140 (Sn/CJ/FS).

Been almost a month now, settling into 88kg-90kg. Best lifts as of today, 14 Jan 2013: 97/115/150. Leg strength is up, back strength is lagging. My goal is to qualify for Canadian nationals for 85kg class, I need at least a 245kg total (approx. 110 Sn, 135 CJ), no competitions in my province until July and August (so I have about 7 months).

Soooo.. none of us log on teamliquid.net which is kind of strange. I mean virtually every health+fitness section is defined by the presence of lots of training logs. I log on twoplustwo, but I'm thinking about crossposting my log in TLHF section.

Nah, I got 6-7 months, I'm pretty sure I will get to it (much earlier than that actually).

Yeahhhh. Im already pretty close to snatching 100kg, made probably 5-6 attempts at 100kg this week.

Wednesday:
Sn: 40 50 (triples) 60 70 80 (doubles) 90 95 100x 100x 100x 70x2 72x2 75x2
CJ: 40 60 70 (triples) 90 100 (doubles) 110 115 120x 120x 90x2 90x2 90x2
FS: up to 152 then 125x6x2

Friday: (coming off a little flu from Thursday, still had a little cough this morning)
Sn: Sn: 40 50 60 (triples) 70 80 (doubles) 90x 90x 90 72x2 72x2 72x2
CJ: CJ: 40 60 70 (triples) 90 100 (doubles) 110 90x2 90x2 90x2

Weekdays are pretty tight for me because of coursework so I get most of non-Sn/CJ/FS exercises in on the weekends (lifts off blocks, Back Squats, Push Press, Pulls, Back Extensions)

Also, I live in the same area as bronze medalist Christine Girarde and I am friends with a few of the lifters she is training/coaching. I think I will look to train under her this summer. She is having trouble finding space atm (she is trying to rent out space at facility from the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics but they are charging way too much... aint this some bull? Win a medal for Canada... can't even get a bone or nothin. Oh well, there is always her garage gym lolz.

thank goodness they reduced his ban. I wonder how heavy he trains at. I know I've read in at least a couple interviews that he has a hard time cutting to make weight for 69kg.

Actually, I think if I set aside a couple days a week where I focused only on the CJ, I could CJ 120. I'm only in the gym 4-5 days a week so I pretty much always Snatch/CJ/Squat/Misc. I'll try next week. I can clean 120+ no prob, I just havent jerked it.

wednesday I cleaned 120. That 5x5 squats really did the trick :D

3 digits FOR ERRBODY

Also... I know my front squat is quite high for my lifts. It's my back and shoulder strength that's holding me back. Hence I'm cutting down my squatting frequency to 4x/week (3x FS, 1x BS) and doing more pulls and push presses (I haven't really done them at all)

Push presses aren't going to make your lifts go up

I like push presses because the weights feel lighter for the jerk when your upperbody is stronger.
