If you're cancer free you probably don't need to be keto. It's not really healthy to be in keto all the time considering that we generally need some carbos to maintain good workouts.

Wondering if you could look at my average day diet eschlow? This is a rough outline, sometimes I replace chicken with steak or turkey or pork even. Also this does not include the occasional snickers/fruit. Peanut butter sandwich is a slice with peanut butter with chunks by the way. I take fishoil and a multivitamine, and intend to drink another full fat milk (700ml) protein shake because I gotta eat moar. The zero alcohol part is accurate though.

6'5, about 85kilo's right now. Would you say this is too much? I think a 'normal' amount of food with GOMAD is way more calories, no? Sorry for the awful lay-out btw.

EDIT: If this is too much, how much should I be eating then plusminus? I never thought that 5000 cals for someone who does Starting Strength was that much, considering my size. Gaining a little bit of fat but also getting stronger so hmm.

Get more of your calories from saturated fats (from healthy sources like wild-caught fatty fish and grass-fed animals or dairy) relative to PUFA's in my opinion.

well yeah its good if you dont mind getting a bit fat whilst making awesome gains on SS. but if you dont want to see your bf percentage shoot up in the skies, I would tread carefully.

How carefully? I should eat enough to make 5lbs progress on squats easily, right? I think the 8 slices of peanut butter amounts to 800ish cals by the way, not the 2.3k it says.

at your height/weight, not too carefully I would probably want to get that squat up first as well. and a 5lbs increase should be easily possible with your meal plan.
i'm just saying, dont come complaining here when you accumulate a bit of belly fat in my experience, losing bodyfat is way harder and more annyoing than gaining it. but then again, I guess i've always been the type to put on weight easily because I loooove food!

Hmm. What if I replace the peanut butter with chicken/sausage slices? And take away the bacon? That would put me around 3000 cals, lol. 3K is still enough to grow? Looking to be muscular and lean by next summer and not put on too much fat. Whatever gets me there best, really. 3K cals with plenty of protein should be good though, no? The 3K cal puts me at 190grams of protein.

should be ok, yeah. if you want to stay lean that may be a better approach. but summer is a long time away, so if cutting is easy for you then by all means go on an all out bulk and start cutting after the winter season.
gains will probably be slower on a 3k calorie diet than on a 5k calorie diet. but if you still have beginners gains in you, you dont have to worry too much imo

btw i'm by no means an expert haha i'm like talking here like I know everything. this is just all from personal experience and stuff I picked up in the TL H&F thread so maybe double check with some of the more knowledgable people like eshlow before putting this plan into action!

Do that for a week... and see if you gain weight.

5k calories is a lot, but you are also huge. So see how it goes... As long as you are getting stronger and bigger it should be fine.

Thanks eschlow. Just out of curiosity, is eating healthy foods when hungry always good, as long as I'm not on a leangains approach or the like?

I just wanted to share a Danish article with you guys on Jack3d & more. This is translated news from Ritzau.

Jack3D, Oxyelite Pro, BSN Endoburn NT & 1.M.R Powder all contains 1,3 dimethylamylamini which is on Denmarks list suspected for brain hemorrhage (? brain bleeding) and heart problems. 1,3 dimethylamylamin is also marketed as methylexanemine, dimethylentylamine and pentylamine which has caused acute serious damage in the heart and one instance of brain hemorrhage.

There is a possibility of koffein raising the effect of 1,3 dimethylamylamin.

Do you know anything about this Eshlow?

It's a stimulant and those risks are pretty common among stimulants (including caffeine). Stacking it with caffeine increases the stimulant effects, which is why the two are often found in thermogenics. It's been around for a while and is pretty safe, but obviously taking stimulants and moreover using them during heavy exertion isn't risk-free.

If you use those products and notice shortness of breath, lightheadness or a racing heartbeat, stop. As with any biologically active compound, some tolerate it better than others.

Caffeine gives an actual increased risk of blood hemorrhage and heart problems?

Mostly the latter (heart palpatations, etc.), and obviously it's only a very small risk and at high doses. Caffeine is definitely a milder stimulant than methylhexanamine, but if you tolerate methylhexanamine well I wouldn't worry about it. It's just like ephedrine--the vast majority of individuals had no problem, but in a few it caused heart attacks.

Whether or not these supplements are worth it is another question altogether, but my personal opinion is that they are not overly dangerous provided you dose appropriately and monitor for signs of sensitivity.

Sure.

---------------

Also, for the other question directed at me pretty much what Ingenol said.

If you're going to use stimulants during exercise I would only use them during competitions or important workouts. Generally speaking, it's much easier to burn out if you use them, and there are potential side effects (probably pretty low risk.. but you never know).

simple question: is it bad for my health if I drink 1.5-2 oz of whiskey everyday

i don't really care about addiction at the moment

Alcohol is sub-optimal at best, but you probably figured that one out. It's useless calories; why drink it over milk. If you are serious about health and FITNESS, leave the alcohol and drink/eat healthy stuff only. Come on Cambium, you were past me when I started lifting, stay on the right track
