I'd only recommend it if you're an Isaac fan though honestly and it is extremely unforgiving and takes a while to get used to. Yeah I'll probably grab it and Surgeon Simulator. Not sure if there are others I want right now.

Waiting for the next M&B to come out before I recc anything. Warbands was alright, but without the mods it would be hideously unplayable and quite frankly stupidly imba. Without actual, good formations, pike/polearm crouching or a bunch of other balance changes, massing Swadian knights is pretty much the optimal, if expensive strat. Also, sieges in vanilla are the worst and longest grindfests ever: mass as many xbows (maybe Vaegir marksmen) as you can and kill them all in the castle. Granted, it doesn't change as much in mods, but it helps somewhat. Also again, imba, since some castles/cities were terrained in such a way that you could basically hold them against ludicrous amounts of enemies with massed xbows, if you have a decent amount in tactics.

I don't have much of an opinion on manual vs automatic. I drive a manual as parents taught me manual and got me manual. When I drive my dads audi every now and then it's a bit scary. The car moves on it's own where as a manual you have to move it. So I do prefer manual solely because of that lol

I know soniv is on it too. o/ My dad prefers standard, but as far as I've been alive, I don't think he's had one - cuz my mom has no idea how to drive stick. He says it's cuz she can't learn to do it right, she says it's cuz he's a shitty teacher. Having been taught standard by my dad, my mom is correct. I will teach my future wife to drive stick if I have to.

I don't remember if it clears buffs though, so maybe I had stuff casted already. I only noticed a number of hours in that my Thief main char with 20 or 22 starting HP was absurdly low (I've since taken to use the easiest difficulty when I do level-ups to get the max HP possible from the dice because I didn't want to restart the game), but he tends to get one-shot (or killed before I can pull him out of melee when someone switches aggro), and even if my mages had a personal defensive buff casted he didn't. I somehow miss over half of my backstabs though, and I tend to roll low on damage even if I succeed to I only one-shot thugs basically. ![]() About half the quests that open up in the Athkatla section of the game aren't supposed to be "easy" or even "doable" at the point when you get to them, so it's totally reasonable to skip things or at least wait till you're higher level. That's part of the exploration of the game--not everything you find will be doable when you find it. Also, pure thieves kind of suck in BG/BG2 because the difficulty of locks and traps caps out. You basically never need more than 100% base lockpicking/trap detection, so the only other draw of being a thief past that is the epic-level abilities (which you can get with a dual/multi-class thief at more or less the same time). Really though, starting with BG1 is just a better idea, because aside from the basic troubles of low-level D&D as a whole (low-level monsters having the chance to do disproportionately high amounts of damage to you when you're level 1/2), it's a lot better to be paced through things from level 1 than to jump into the game at level 8-10 and not know what's going on.

I will teach my future wife to drive stick if I have to. It's pretty simple if you know how to drive in the first place. Just confidence and practice is all you need after that. The car tells you everything you need to know about gears anyway.
