At least that map is clean, every now and then you get a game where Europe looks like a checker board, or Poland decides to snake through one province to invade the Ottomans.
I think EUIV is Paradox's best game by far, because they keep adding DLC that almost always adds to the game. The game has become more and more complex through the years too, it's not a true RTS but it's definitely grand strategy. CKII memes are much better though, love me some spicy incest/deus vult/seducer jokes.

Oh yeah, I've seen mentions of that in a few places. Sounds like a good game for Scip is Amazing at Videogames?

Yeah, that's the thing. I didn't know how to genre sit it because outside of pausing it it plays exactly like an RTS. It's easier to play it as a full on RTS than to make it a TBS with copious pausing and unpausing.
Well, Ill stream it today at 21:00 GMT (+00:00), so I expect to have a little bit of twitch chat /shill /selfpromotion
hello, does anyone remember the name of a league streamer,I think he's name was smash something. He used to post on these forums, before there was a separate site for league actually. He used to stream league and played smash melee while he queed, sometimes streamed mtgo. I know this is really odd request but it fucking buggs me to no end for a couple of days now that I can't remember what his name was,I think he landed a job at riot, not sure he works there anymore or if he streams. If someone can please help me or even better link me to his old stream page on twitch that would be gas.
SmashGizmo doesn't work as Riot anymore, forgot where though. I had him in my followed streams for a long time (was my first one) and I don't think he ever streamed again after he joined Riot, or at least not on that one.
Might have just been awkward to rejoin discussions here. For as opinionated as we can be about Riot at times, we're really just shooting in the dark. Must be weird to be involved in discussions like that and having to triple check what you want/could/should say.
He mentioned on his blog moving across the country for Riot and a bunch of things changing, so he may simply not have had the time before, and then getting employed at Riot (way before their developers talked on reddit and stuff) meant it was simpler not to get involved here too much, ie. no incentive to actually make the effort to come back.

I feel like they patch EU4 too much. They definitely had some patches nigh unplayable, and the newer DLCs seem to overbuff certain nations (Ming, Russia, etc). The current iteration without the Third Rome and Kingdom of Heaven is in a pretty good spot I will admit. And they also released trash like Mare Nostrum.
Victoria 2 will always have a soft spot in my heart. It's great partly because they almost never touch it and the underlying structure is so good, I can forgive how weird it can get.
Yeah, EU4 is hilariously expensive if you want the whole #allDLC experience. Which you kinda need to, because they can't adapt patches to all the possible combinations of DLCs, so you're going to get fucked eventually. Like when you have to pay for development of provinces, but they introduce Institutions ECKS DII

To me this is the biggest problem. They completely changed the tech system and instead of keeping the old system if you don't have a certain DLC, they just throw it all under the bus and force you to spend $$$$$$ if you want to play the game properly. Doesn't particularly matter for me since I've already dumped the money, but I'd be pretty pissed as a new person. The new system also has weird quirks and is entirely too abuseable.
The development system is so core to doing well as a small nation too, I don't know why they haven't made it a free feature yet (well I do, but I feel like they're being unethical pricks at this point).
That grand finals was pretty annoying till like 17 minutes, and even then the commentators were so biased it didn't help. That and I'm not a fan of the Tekken mechanics I know or the graphics style (mainly juggle and how characters jump up in the air all horizontal if a jab grazes a foot) so obviously it's going to be hard for me to get into it. + Show Spoiler +
The one hype moment for me was actually when Saint down 0-2 crushed the next match with 2 perfects, just because of how irritating the commentators were and how that shut them up for a moment or forced them to talk about him a bit.

I typically get 1 fighting game per 'generation' but I'm still torn between that, MvC:I, and Injustice2(Ninja Turtles just announced tho!). I DUNNO WHAT TO DO.

Depends. MvCI, while having a ton of flaws (graphically, menus are jank, 1P-only rematch decisions, pretty shitty roster, dumbed down tag mechanics, mash Stone activation is actually retarded, etc.), is actually quite fun.
Was never a fan of NRS games (Mortal Kombat/Injustice), so can't say much there.
DBZF is by far, the easiest to pick up, play and have fun with, and I expect a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge influx of people who will get it. 2 more months yo.
