Fixed experience intake + No gold / items = How the fuck a better player get any advantage? I dont get it. Just seems like an arcade game. maybe that's the selling point? there is no snowballing. Better players just out play worse opponents.

Not everyone is the same level, just everyone on each team. If you kill someone you still give your team an advantage in experience, and w/e map control exists on their maps.

I think Blizzard is smart enough to know that Heroes can't compete on equal ground as LoL and DotA, looks like they're trying to make fun novelties that might draw some crowds. Looks like there are plenty of maps from the trailer, so that might be another big thing.

Edit: Also they clearly need to do a few things waaaaay outside the 'norm' because there's 0% chance they can out traditional LoL or Dota.

Pretty much kills the idea of powercurves; Carries are balanced by the ability to stop them from being Carries. Only way having fixed experience and no items/gold works with this concept is if you just have no carries. Otherwise a stall comp with 2 heros able to waveclear well and then just 3 carries best team all day every day. And call me crazy, but if that's the case then thats the exact opposite of their design philosophy of short average game times. I considerably unhyped.

Those guys in the blizzcon thread are getting close to sounding like they want to blow up blizzard for having ruin their gaming lives! Please consider me in your plans to stay in your bunker, I promise I'm quite useful and can make it through nuclear winter aftermath. What's wrong with Blizz this time?

The blizzcon thread and the new blizzard moba thread is blowing up about how blizzard is ruining everything and they don't care about fans anymore. (Where's my wc4, new moba sucks, why does nova have to look so sexy, blizzard is sell outs and just adding tits and ass characters to get money.. Etc) lol. Funny stuff but seriously lets start a lol sub forum pool to gather enough money to build a bunker for all of us. Shotty bunk mates with moonbear

Probably a tad hyperbolic but Blizzard's move towards more 'generalist' games and mass appeal certainly feels like chasing the $$'s at times when its detrimental to game design.

Shocking that a merger with Activision has led to such design decisions...
